I saw a white cd a my local electronica shop called Sigur
Ros last week and thought it looked good.
I was wrong. It is the best album at the moment IMO.
I've never heard of them before, does anyone else know of
them?
Its the ( ) album.
Its very RadioHead influenced with some great piano tracks
in there, along with an non-existing language being sung.

Buy It!

Yeah. They're quite popular. Is it just one bloke? Not sure.
Got that album, quite good. Bollocks lyrics. Falsettos,
mmmm. Sad but uplifting. Not for Slayer fans. Weird titles.
All look similar. Chords are cool, I like chords.

Theres no text on the whole album apart from the name and
the website.

I think I remember reading in NME that all the tracks and
the album itself, if you have to name it, are called 'love'.
Or was it the name of his girlfriend.... can't remember.
Either way, doesn't matter.

and what's the english pronunciation of their name?? I've
been ignorantly saying "see-ger rooz". Does anyone know how
to pronounce it??

And how do you pronounce their previous record "Agaetis
Byrjun".

I've just within the past few days begun to discover them
and I love the music, but I find it hard to discuss them
with anyone because I can't pronounce anything related to
them.

radiohead actually claimed to be influenced by sigur ros.
if you ever get a chance to see them live please do. the
record, as beautiful as it is, does them no justice.
