I've just realised I left 4 mix tapes in the hire van that
they picked up from me today. I can't be bothered to go to
the depot to pick them up, so I'll just not mention it.
Should give some "normal person" a suprise- SMAK, BoC,
Caretaker, Astrobotnia etc. he he he.

i did the same with a mix tape at a freinds party. The party
was at her sisters house and her sister only had
easy-listening and irish crap. The idea of her discovering
the tape is pretty amusing.
HAs anyone got any feedback from a situation like this?
e.g. "I found this tape. is it yours? What the HELL is it?
its´s bloody mind-bowing!!"

its funny, one of my mates who is now a very succesful
psytrance maker started diiging it when he found an infected
mushroom cd on the street :D after hearing that we have,
under years, thrown several cdr mixes out the window.

I left a mix tape of Ae, Aphex, Plaid and BoC in my car left
year. The car was stolen, later recovered by the police
with next to no damage, but they had taken the tape with
them.

I had a CD-r of instrumental music I found on the lawn
outside my halls at uni.

Keys- I had to DJ on decks without headphones for a few
tracks last week whilst a guy sorted the mixe rout. Hard to
cue from listening to the stylus whilst the PA is banging
away...

ha ha, CeriJC... i´d say under live conditions, its a
different story alright!

Ear-to-the-wax!

But i think its good to do at home and then when you can use
the phones live, you´re gonna get it spot on...

Yeah, I often can't be bothered to use them at home as I can
hear the stylus quite well unless I have my speakers turned
up. That said I still want to get a decent pair of closed
back sennheisers as the aiwa ones I borrow from my flatmate
really hurt if you turn up loud enough to hear them over a
PA.

Other good one I'm aiming to try is neglectingto use a mic.
Just stop the music abrubtly so everyone goes quiet then
shout, he he.

I had this idea of making 20 copies of a CD with electronic
music on and hang them on traffic signs and buildings in my
city.

Portishead did something similair to promote their first
album. I thought just posting blank CDs through peoples
front doors would be another good one.

Keys- No, just my voice. I hate it when DJs in clubs etc.
talk between records so I never do. It's just a mate is
DJing after me on friday and I'm going to tell them that I'm
handing over to him. I have some old kids story books on
vinyl at my parents house. I'll nab them and see if there's
anything good on them.
