Someone smash my radio!

I cant stand it anymore. Why are all the tracks nowadays
either bad remixes of old songs, or cheap trance stuff?
Allthough I dont like RnB, this is a genre, that is at least
developing a little.

indeed...

Its so depressing.

On the other hand I am glad that the music I like isn't
mainstream. Keeps the parties msmall and cosey.

HAHAHAH! I used to have an alarm radio, I smashed that
bugger in the first week. Threw it across the room in a fury
of early mourning rage, and it smashed agianst the wall in a
million pieces! hahaha

I hate the radio too, I only like NPR and this one station
KCRW, but I can listen to the internet stream of that
station, so I just dont bother with the radio anymore. Too
much top 40 crap being played, ack, I sometimes dig on the
spanish radio and japanese radio, that stuff is rockin
sometimes! One time I even heard an episode of pokemon being
played on an am station, I BLASTED THAT SHIT !!! people
looked at me like, WTF?!, what a beautiful moment. But ever
since I got my radio adapter for my iPod I havent listened
to the radio in a LONG time, too bad my P.O.S (piece of
shit) car has a low fi speaker system from the 80's.

:*(

There is one thing I hope to hear every week from now on:
'Mixing It' on Radio 3, very eclectic (they went from a
beautiful glitch track into a 'vocal collage' of hmmm's and
ahhhh's and urrhhh's, then into some decent jazz), shame I
have to wait all week for it, and then all day. Peel is
okay, but he plays way too much shitty trance.

i had to listen to 5 hours of radio at work today too... :-/
Ugh... most of it is horrible, i agree! (and tomorrow i'm
sure the radio will be playing again).

But not everything is bad (i don't think so anyway).
That new Robbie Williams single is pretty good. Every now
and then you get the latest U2-single. And sometimes even
daft punk! (one more time!). (I really have to soak up these
nice songs, in order to stand the next 10 songs that'll
probably be terrible again ;-))

we have a really annoying beeping alarm clock =o(

We used to use the radio, but we had no aerial so we got
woken up by interference every morn !

ONE MORE TIME!!!! one more time.... ONE MORE TIME.....
celebration... tonight.... oooooo... no.... we dont
stop..... we cant stop.... celebration.... tonight........
ONE MORE TIME!

Yay! Radio can be ok everynow and then, I dont think I could
listen to a top 40 station 24/7 at work though.. that would
drive me bonkers. Some top 40 stuff can be allright, for
shizzle. But I must say, there is a lot of crap.

w00t!

The thing that strikes me about that Robbie Williams single
is how bland and instantly forgetable it is. At least his
previous tunes stuck in the head.

It's rare that I listen to the radio for music. I usually
listen to talk radio (Five Live) before I go to sleep and
when I wake up in the morning. I need to know what's
happening in the world before I crawl into it. I'm a news
junkie.

If I do listen to music on the radio it's John Peel 99% of
the time.

if you have a nice internet connection check 95bFM

its high fidelity radio from auckland new zealand and really
saved me in my early teenage years. Full of great new music
(all 'good' genres) and intelligent interviews, hilarity,
clarity, insanity....
if you can find a good radio station don't let it go! i
can't compare anything to bFM..... even my winamp playlist,
cos... i know everything thats on it.
radio can be a wonderful medium.....

I have a poor 56k connection :(

Incidentally, for anyone wanting to broaden their musical
horizons, a trip to Epitonic can be a rewarding
experience.

I don't have any friends that are both likely to behave
themselves in a party and like IDM/ATM music.
My friends can be divided into two groups:
1) Those who love IDM/ATM.

2)Those who don't do plenty of cocaine, speed, extacy...

The friends around me are mainly metal/rock lovers. THey
think I'm weird. But actually.... they are.

At least, thats my opinion.
