My friend BF and I think this! much of the intracacy of snares' music is derived from the variety of drum sounds he uses, and there's nothing wrong with that. it just bothers me when he's compared with squarepusher in terms of complexity. i actually find snares' stuff really overwrought. i'm far more impressed with squarepusher because he'll take a single loop and work magic with it, which i think is far more challenging and interesting than mashing dozens of sound files. squarepusher knows his beats inside and out. he very intricately arranges his drum patterns such that his beat patterns retain a certain vitality and avoid redundancy. there is a great deal of subtlety to squarepusher's drum programming that i just don't find in snares' music, which lacks the same depth.

Aye, But thats the fault of anyone who compares VS with Squarepusher. Chalk and cheese. It's not like VS is running around going 'I'm better then Squarepusher'
I like Squarepusher more then VS personally but VS has it's moments with me hence the fact I have so much by him.

vsnares is overrated, and can't stand the comparison with >[] maybe - but that doesn't make him total shit!
'banana seat girl' for example is a very good track imo :)

If you're gonna be banned from the Snares board, perhaps when you move on you should change your nick? Hmm? :)

Why's everyone comparing stuff all the time? The Snares plays his things, the Pusher another. Why compare them? When will we ever see the music instead who's behind it?
