I'm in my loft, listening to Weathered Stone off of SAW II.
It's 2:30 a.m. here, I should be sleeping.

BTW, a loft is a large upstairs living room, more or less.

hotaka mountain festival '01 -
airflow groove

this is something off a 2cd + dvd set that my friend bought
on his recent visit to japan, it has some awesome stuff on
it, like orb remixes, a clip of juno reactor and other cool
things,. I can't tell you the artist's name because of the
way I label my mp3's, but it is definately worth the
purchase if you can find it.

Running an internet browser
talking on mirc
talking on ICQ
running/using soulseek
and running paintshop pro

all at the same time

and here's proof

keep in mind I'm running on a pentium 550mhz

to sakura
well, on the other hand everyhing by this guy is great

Yay, Sakura is a great album! The first couple of times i
listened to it i thought it was just nice ambient
background-music (except kodomotachi, which stood out
immediately), but the more i listen to it, the more depth i
discover. Many of the songs have really beautiful
melodies... it's very interesting!

Oh and right now i'm sitting in the attic, where a computer
with internet is set up :-) Listening to a band called
"gorki", with the song: "wie zal er voor de kinderen
zorgen?"...

(which reminds me (that title means: who will take care of
the children?)... what is that voice saying in
kodomotachi?? It always sounds to me like: "come children
come... come over here" or something. But it's probably just
something in japanese?).

hehe...

"you say such serious useful, wise, and meaningful
things,
"

Thanks!
*blushes*

"but I just can't take anything you say seriously with an
avatar like that.
"

lol... but it's george! :-p

I do understand what you mean... some of the avatars here i
don't like either, and they change the way i read people's
posts.

But still... my favourite avatars are the ones that have
been around for a long time, and that don't get changed
every couple of days. After i've seen an avatar for more
than a few months, you get so used to it that it becomes an
integral part of xltronic. I just love coming here and
seeing all those "familiar" faces.

I mean it's just an 60x80 pixels picture. No avatar looks
really good. Some are nicer than others, but it's
almost impossible to really create something beautiful in
such a small space. Having a recognisable avatar is more
important imo. I'm gonna try and stick to this one for as
long as possible. I really hope that for some other members,
the george picture has become a classic xltronic-ingredient
;-) Just like for me Nacmat's pink cap, Jand's morphing
"thing" and funkmaster's psychedelic selfportrait have all
become classics! (Jaworski used to be one too, when he still
had various pictures of that evildead-actor). These are my
favourite avatars. Not so much because of what they look
like, but because i know them so well.

Besides i love how people will sometimes reply to me with
seinfeld-quotes ;-) That always makes me laugh. Coming to
xltronic is almost as good as watching a seinfeld-episode!
:-p
