this finnish film sounds good too......i doubt it will see
the light of day in the US tho.....unless it's a huge hit
over there =/

showing some other films beside big hollywood productions
and hits

yes there are (in the BIGGER cities) i live in a an area
where we have UNO/ONE/UN arthouse theatre, and those kind of
movies are few and far between.

they are showing this weekend tho....

'dr strangelove, or : how i learned to stop worriying and
love the bomb

also this movie which sounds sooooo good......i'm sure i'll
see it

rabbit-proof fence -

the story of three yound aboriginal girls, aged 8 to 14 who
are taken from their families and put in a government school
tolearn skills as laborers. their crime: they are of mixed
race, and as recently as 1970, australian policy required
that they be removed from aboriginal villages and raised
separately, for reasons variously vile, racist and cruel.
the three girls escap from their 'school' and undertake an
astonishing 1500 mile trek back to their homes, in a film
that ends with devastating emotional impact!
=/

hehe, i could watch dr.strangelove continuosly forever
probably
one of my all time fav movies

i never heard about this aboriginal film-i doubt its going
to be played here
well, perhaps if its a new film we might see it on our
annual film festival, but not very likely
well i'll keep my eyes opened
