i thought they were over this petty shit but it looks like things are gonna get more violent w/ hip-hop again. first jam master jay was murdered, now the office building for violator (management team for busta rhymes, missy elliott, 50 cent, mobb deep, many others) has been shot at. meanwhile murder inc. (that terrible fake record label (owned by def jam) w/ ja rule and ashanti) is being investigated for drug gang connections, and suge knight and his label being investigated for current gang connections as well. at the same time, suge has never backed down from dissing other artists, including snoop and dre who hate him with a passion. murder inc is also taking pot shots now at others, starting with dmx and now moving onto 50 cent (bad idea. he's not afraid to go to jail.), and the whole aftermath/shady records roster, including dr. dre and eminem (who is also involved in beef w/ source magazine co-owner benzino, whose latest dis record toward eminem references literally murdering eminem and kidnapping his daughter).
not a pretty situation.

suge's always been starting shit, usually ending violently. he's what you might call " a niggaz nigga" or something. This thug shit is pretty weak, imo.

suge knight's actions have always seemed vaguely criminal. i'm NOT surprised he's under investigation.
seems like some artists can't leave off the gansta ways even after they start making a legit living =/ is sad .....that they kill each other so freely!

i've just recently gotten 'into' it.....well for the past 2 years....sadly AFTER a few of the really talented artists had been killed in drive-bys (tupac/biggie)
after hearing the new roots, talib kweli, and common albums i think we have a lot to look forward to.
i just wish some of these 'thugs' would see the LIGHT and put the guns away!!

see time is the asset, how you gonna spend it?"
-Mos Def-
Just focus on the positive Titsworth, and "fuggedabout" the mafioso gangsta blingbling bullshit rap, ignore it.
It ain't what hip-hop is all about.

its more worrying about how the mainstream views hip-hop. thats all they know. it's working towards raising a generation of thugs who don't appreciate women and act as tough as they can to scare whitey.

The media/industry represses coverage of positive hip-hop so much its shameful. They only broadcast stories of this kind of shit to get thier names out there. This is the kind of crap that attracts veiwers and sells records. If i listened to that sort of garbage music: I would be glad and rather guilt free to download it all. We need another J-5 or Hiero to get us out of this rut. Posotive hip-hop needs to make a 'proper' introduction to the mainstream.
