A question to the all RDJ WEB EXPERTS

WooferAttack!!! on 2001-04-04 10:23 [#00002523]

The question is:

Do you know other album or songs about RDJ with the same
"special" acid-techno-ambient sound of POLYGON WINDOW?

I like the particular atmosphere of this album and I hope
RDJ has done other songs with the same sound!

bye, and thanx to everyone that answer to my question

Quoth and Classics are pretty similiar.

XePhA88 from San Jose, CA on 2001-04-04 11:54 [#00002528]

try getting the caustic window CD, it's called compilation
or something.

WooferAttack!!! on 2001-04-04 12:45 [#00002537]

I have CLASSICS by "The Aphex Twin" and also CAUSTIC WINDOW
COMIPLATION, but I think they are different from POLYGON
WINDOW.

CLASSICS it's a collection of rumorous songs, the only song
similiar I think is POLYNOMINAL C.

CAUSTIC WINDOWS instead is more innovative but has not the
same atmosphere of POLYGON WINDOW.

POLYGON WINDOW, has melody and in the same time a good
techno-acid rhythm.

This is only my opinion.

XePhA88 from San Jose, CA on 2001-04-04 20:26 [#00002564]

just buy all the cd's like the rest of us did. you're going
to do so eventually anyways... if you're a REAL phan...
heheeh

AFXDUB from Canada on 2001-04-05 03:46 [#00002603]

The polygon window sound is kind of unique because all the
aliases he uses are sort of music aliases as well.. what I
mean is that if you listen you start to hear the same kind
of sound coming out of him when hes particular aliases. The
polygon window sound is from his alias polygon
window..obviously. So i don't know what would sound the
same. There is nothing really that sounds alot like it. If
you really like that, check out the old [OLD] u-ziq stuff.
its like that kind of. if your having trouble looking for
stuff that you like , that resembles the Polygon Window
stuff, then email me. I know tons of shit.

WooferAttack!!! on 2001-04-05 07:37 [#00002611]

Thanx to everyone that answered me.

I have SAW (85-92) and some song is similiar.
I have not "SINGLES COLLECTION", It could be a good idea.

I will try to listen also some song about U-Ziq.

I think "SURFING ON A SINE WAVES" it's really a masterpiece,
and will be difficult to find other stuff so similiar.

And what's about UNIVERSAL INDICATOR, GAK and MELODY FROM
MARS?

bye

hevquip from horse's foot on 2001-04-05 19:18 [#00002657]

universal indicator series is acid and repetitive, but good.
gak is interesting. melodies from mars do not exist on
record or cd, but supposedly on richards own cassettes
smuggled out of rephlex and put on the internet. the rumor
is that melodies from mars music was sent to a videogame
company for a soundtrack. if you listen to it (which i'm
doing right now actually) you'll notice it does sound like
videogame music.

XePhA88 from San Jose, CA on 2001-04-05 22:34 [#00002661]

yeah, melody from mars is pretty cool, but someone needs to
convert them all to wav, increase the fucking volume, and
then put back as mp3. i could do it... but i'm too damn
lazy. i agree with AFXDUB about the aliases. he seems to
have a different sound for each..

XePhA88 from San Jose, CA on 2001-04-05 22:36 [#00002663]

oh and GAK is best when you ARE gaked. especially while
listening to it with a system with good bass

AFXDUB from Canada on 2001-04-05 23:04 [#00002673]

Yes.. if you listen carefully you see that many of his songs
have "good bass" in them. Like on my stereo in my room.. its
huge! I can pound that fuckin bass... lots of songs on AB3
have wicked assed bass in them!. yeah.. Gak does too!

Ross from Can. on 2001-04-05 23:06 [#00002675]

anybody listen to any of the live stuff in explore? pretty
cool..

XePhA88 from San Jose, CA on 2001-04-05 23:07 [#00002676]

ross: no, what do you mean by "in explore." the live song
i like the most is the heliosphan '97

XePhA88 from San Jose, CA on 2001-04-05 23:09 [#00002678]

without a doubt i think Flim has the best bass. rdj carries
a melody in the treble, has the arppegiation in the
mid-range, and a counter-point melody with the bass....
tight as fuck. reminds of me beethoven's moonlight sonata

AFXDUB from Canada on 2001-04-05 23:21 [#00002689]

I think its track 3 on AB3... i think.. if it is the one im
thinking of then that my friends.. has the ultimate bass.

Ross from Can. on 2001-04-05 23:24 [#00002690]

it's in the explore section, scroll down and click live
performances, and it has a few locations. i'm listening to
Japan right now

XePhA88 from san jose, ca on 2001-04-06 00:42 [#00002737]

yeah, i've got the japan one from napster. it's pretty cool

TekN010G from Australia on 2001-04-06 01:34 [#00002763]

too bad about the voices littered all through them,(the
crowd)

XePhA88 from san jose, ca on 2001-04-06 01:42 [#00002766]

yeah, but it reminds you that it's live.. so it's already a
shitty recording... and you getta hear phellow aphex phreaks
pronounce their love

WooferAttack!!! on 2001-04-06 11:04 [#00002807]

...and What's about MIKE&RICH "EXPERT KNOB TWIDDLERS",
"BRADLEY'S STRIDER"and "BRADLEY'S ROBOT"?

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
\/\/\/\............woofy

hevquip from horse's foot on 2001-04-06 19:47 [#00002834]

music under the bradley strider alias is kind of repetive
dance.

hevquip from horse's foot on 2001-04-06 19:49 [#00002835]

when i listened to mike and rich, the first thing i thougth
was "electrofunk!"

XePhA88 from san jose, ca on 2001-04-06 19:52 [#00002836]

i dunno... i think mike and rich is my least favorite cd of
them all

WooferAttack!!! on 2001-04-07 11:08 [#00002881]

Last problem...

I'm a little bit confused about ANALOGUE BUBBLEBATH.
How many version are released e which are the best?

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ woofy

hevquip from halfway between here and there on 2001-04-08 01:35 [#00002895]

there are technically six. 1,2,3,3.1,(the difference between
3 and 3.1 are some tracks and that one is in record form,
the other in cd),4, and the unreleased 5. which is best is
really up to you.
