Like many artists, cylob differs album to album. The only album that really struck me as good was Lobster tracks. It's a small quirky collection of videogame beeps mixed and composed by a lobster. Cylobian sunset is a bit dated, but has some fairly nice stuff... I havn't really heard it that much.

Cylob's music is pretty monotonous and silly. There are much better artists out there.
Check out µ-ziq. There is a larger selection to choose from, and a lot more versatile an artist. Or DMX-Krew. He kind of has the goofiness of Cylob, but is a better musician.
However, I am more inclined to promote artist like Autechre, Jega, Brothemstates, Boards of Canada, *Leafcutter John*, myself, and Bit_Meddler. They are much more... innovative?

If you want some rephlex stuff i'd suggest Railway raver, Ovuca, Bogdan Razcynski and Cylob(best album is "Lobster Tracks" imo).

global goon on rephlex is good. lots of people are buzzing about proem. merck records comp
"squadron" is very good. cylob is pretty weak, imo. early stuff (mostly as kinesthesia) is pretty much by the numbers techno, hasn't aged well. newer stuff is herky jerky electronic without any clear compositional focus, just lots of twists and turns. no real melodies, as i recall. kind of reminds me a little of the likeatim stuff on rephlex, which you should check out if you like cylob. 09 is an artist to watch, check out some compilations on schematic records with a track from 09: "lily of the valley" and "house of distraction" though the best schematic comp is probably
"ischemic folks". for a gentler, boards of canadaesque pastoral sound try mum, a band from iceland, album "yesterday was dramatic today is ok". ps it does not sound like boards of canada, but appeals to the same aesthetic.
