i was wondering, to anybody that loves the genre of noise or hi-pitched frequencies in music, what attracts you to this? i know everybody is different, but frankly i think it's so pretentious (the frequencies) i was just curious..

interesting..it's just the buzz of the frequencies is grating, but i could see that some people may enjoy that..or get used to it

Re: high pitched
Autechre's secret song on EP7 = although not quite ventolin in your face style .. i think is a wonderfully beautiful song?
As for noise .. if your in the mood it can fuel one's hunger for the desired grit. or something rather of this sort of .. um yeah. personal and all that

I like in ventolin how when he strikes a sound on top of the high pitch squeal, the squeal fades briefly like the other strike of sound caused this, then it goes right back up in volume. Then at the end it sounds like the last breath of a deflating balloon, going lower in pitch. Merzbow's Tauromachine is really painful to hear, plus the global volume is twice that on most albums. High pitch stuff has the most energy because the molecules are vibrating fastest.
