The Aphex Track That Freaked Me Out

AcridWave from Inside the Mind of Val Donican on 2001-04-03 12:47 [#00002420]

Whilst in a state of altered reality (albiet self-induced) I
tend to listen to Aphex alot, for obvious reasons of course.
And I can vividly remember one time when the microdots that
I had consumed had kicked in with a wall-breathing vegence,
and the untitled track 7 from Polygon Window came on my
special 'acid compilation tape' and my word, the paranoia
was ripping through me, (this was around 1993, the second
time that I had listened to Aphex in such a state.

What A night!!

i once had a poo whilst listening to flim, was quite nice.

Great!

I once shot a poodle through a hula-hoop that was coated in
old tramps sperm, just after listening to J9 ep.

Sharing is great, isn't it.

Sometimes people on this site are scarier than anything
Richard has ever done. I like animals, but I fucking hate
poodles.

So far, the only track that freaked me out was when I was
doing homework, I decided to listen to SAW II. Not aware of
what track was going to come next (on my mp3 collection), it
was Aphex Airlines (I guess that's the name). That was my
first time listening to that.

hedtwin from Manchester, England. on 2001-04-03 21:34 [#00002459]

i once touched myself repeatedly while listening to complex
mathematical equation

tekn010G from Australia on 2001-04-03 23:36 [#00002475]

Once I left SAWII on all night, I woke during the middle of
the night and grey stripe was on, and when the sounds in the
last minute of the song kicked in, I nearly shat myself,
until I realised what it was, :)

ross from Canada on 2001-04-04 00:21 [#00002477]

tekno, i had a similar thing happen..I put on SAWII and
ended up falling asleep, waking up and hearing it float
gently, but still frighteningly

It's kind of like looking at an old black and white photo of
people who are most likely now dead.

me and the missus were tripping on mexicans at
squarepusher@glade. She totally freaked out with overemotion
at his vast melodies/beats. It all kicked in for me later as
Aphex played a set that took me right into his
fishbody/humanhead
