so, now that the godliness of the two towers is upon us,
less than one year until the final chapter in what will be
the greatest film trilogy of all time.
anyone here read the Silmarillion? peter jackson needs to
make a movie out of that.

I just got back from seeing it and YES I cried, it was so
amazing, Middle Earth seems so real my emotions over took
everything I felt.

I have no read Silmarillion, I'm so over whelmed with LOrd
of the Rings I dont think I can think about anything else

I've heard the Silmarillion is really boring... I think
Jackson definitely needs to do a movie for The Hobbit...
that would rock...

oh yeah, and...

DAMN STRAIGHT!!! RETURN OF THE KING IS GONNA KICK ASS!!!

As far as trilogies go, this one kicks ass, and is
definitely better then Star Wars... I don't know, Star Wars
just seems childish now... stupid even... the originals were
good, but Lucas is just killing the whole thing with these
prequels...

interesting!

I used to listen to "Kraftwerk - Electric Cafe" while
reading LOTR as a kid, so every time i listen to it now, it
takes me back to Middle Earth :)

irrelevant and dull? :|

oh well, fair enough. I've read the Hobbit and I started
reading The Lord of the Rings, but frankly it bored me into
a state of catatonia. That series, and Dune, both bored me
rigid.

Dune is brilliant!

I know what you mean about LOTR, its quite a slow start but
ir does pick up if you give it a chance.

The books were alright but I was disapointed when I read
them, I quite like the films though. I haven't bothered
watching that unofficial trailer, I'll wait till the real
one is up.

Who said it is possible to make a movie of Silmarillion?
Hahaha. That would be like creating a movie of the history
of Europe. Or maybe in the style of the beginning of LotR,
where the narrator explains the pre-events for the movie it
would take only 10 x 3 hours parts, so we could have
something to talk about for like 10 years :-)

The film could be someone reading the book. It wouldn't be
30 hours long then, especially if it was a fast reader.

his son's name was 'Correct' ? What an unusual name. Or
maybe it was 'Wrong' ?

It means it will turn you on. The only motion pictures that
arouse me generally feature two or more naked people
fornicating.

be duely aroused.

I read something the other night about how Peter Jackson
said he'd be willing to pull a Georgeo Lucas and do a film
of The Hobbit... meaning obviously he'd do a prequel... but
that'd be so fucking awesome... I always hoped he'd do it,
and I still do... he might as well finish the whole story!
