I'm in a experimental metal band, we have all sorts of
songs, been with the same people eight years now.

We can jam without even thinking.
It's still so fun to just get in a simple groove and let it
expand and evolve.

thats it, you forget how easy it is to make something from
nothing.

bein in a band can be nuts, we've been makin music for about
6 years now, it all went to peices in Liverpool, but now
we're here its totaly different.

it's tough to keep a band together when your not getting
paid to do it, everyone has to manage their time very well.

Practices seem to become less and less often as time moves
forward.

I used to be the bass player in a band... we occasionally
played gigs at a few local bars, had some original material
but it didn't work out... and we probably weren't that good
anyway

oh I almost forgot anyone in the boston area we're playing
tomorrow night (Sat, 14th) at the Skybar in somerville. It
will be a fun show, only 5 bucks.

There is possibly nothing more exhilerating (sp) than
jamming in a band, and going from one place... to another...
then raising it... then all falling into sync at the same
time... guessing each other's next move... and falling into
a groove perfectly....

aaaahhh the memories

I sometimes jam with friends too. Yesterday we tried playing
BoC tunes on rock band equipment. Direct copying of the
tunes sounded quite shitty (as you might expect) but
afterwards it turned into quite interesting jamming.

I'm in a band called Shungah, I play guitar, we've been goin
for a few months now and as time goes on it keeps getting
more automatic, writing music is the best therapy. We also,
have a dj/producer that mixes some electro with the stuff we
play, comin up with some wicked shit, recording in the
middle of this year, will put the mp3s up.

My band from ages 16-18: http://www.mp3.com/picture_this_
(nothing too original, just a few grunge tunes)

I play drums in a "band", it´s fun, and I get something one
can´t get from sitting in front of a computer: Musical
Communication and interraction....

I'm in a band, like alternative rock i guess? I don't know.
I play drums, guitar, bass and piano. But in the band I play
guitar.

I also have some electronic collaborations. Me and my friend
make IDM (afx/ ae) type stuff, and me and my other friend
make/dj techno/dance kinda of stuff ( darude/sasha)

I used to be in an experimental electronic/synth pop band.
It was fun at the beggining, but then people started to get
on eachothers nerves and we went our seperate ways. When
your dealing with a style of music where it only really
takes one person to handle it all, its hard to set it up so
everyone can be a part of it, because everyone wants to be
into everything. I guess I am just a solo type person being
the introvert that I am
