Look for me! Young, B
Cruisin down the westside - high, way
Doing what we like to do - our, way
Eyes behind shades, this necklace the reason
all of my dates been blind dates
But today, I got my thoroughest girl wit me
I'm mashin the gas, she's grabbin the wheel,
it's true to the heart
She rides with me - the new Bobby and Whitney
Only time we don't speak is during "Sex and the City"
She gets Carrie fever, but soon as the show is over
She's right back to being my soldier
Cuz mami's a rider, and I'm a roller
Put us together, how they gon' stop both us?
What ever she lacks, I'm right over her shoulder
When I'm off track mami is keepin me focused
So let's, lock this down like it's supposed to be
The '03 Bonnie and Clyde, Hov' and B

All I need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend.
Down to ride 'til the very end, it's me and my boyfriend.
All I need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend.
Down to ride 'til the very end, it's me and my boyfriend.

the chorus is stolen from a 2pac song called "me and my
girlfriend"
the bridge is stolen from a prince song called "if i was
your girlfriend"
kanye west's production is tight on the song though

i give jay-z "the blueprint 2" a 2 out of 5 star rating.
wasn't worth the $10 i paid for it. the neptunes' wackest
production ever. best song on there though is "the watcher
2" with the god rakim.

god whats with all these "producers" ripping off the b-sides
of other hip-hop songs. For christs sake, is nothing sacred
anymore. Did people really become this greedy and lazy?
Jeezus, I turned on the radio recently and heard this shite
rnb crap over a B.I.G b-side, WTF. And that new J-lo track
is sampling not one... but at least three other old hip hop
songs... damn. I want to find these "producers" and just
bitch slap them to death!!!!!!!!!!!

AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!

well unlike ashanti's producer(s) taking the biggie
instrumental (which itself is a looped segment of "stay with
me" by el debarge) and just having the girl sing over it,
the "'03 bonnie & clyde" instrumental has nothing to do with
anything 2pac or prince; the music's original, just the
choruses (melody and some words) are borrowed. that's more
creative than some other recent tactics (like j. lo's new
song ripping off beats from boogie down productions and da
beatnuts). kanye west is a great producer.

Buts its fackin everywhere... not just on the two tracks you
mentioned titsworth. Its like a evil goddamn lazy virus. I
want to see some creativity happening, and not just with
timbaland, n.e.r.d, swiss beats... and maybe five others....

ack!

YES! Please, lets move on....

what I really would like titsworth, is for prefuse73 to hit
it big and see HIM or other underground hip hop people on
MTV and spammed all over radio, people who actually have
something to say and some degree of drive to do something
new... and have a message.

I could name more producers also... but it would probubly
end up in a pissing match .... and I dont really dig
mainstream hip hop coming out today that much anyway.

Nas ass raped Jay-Z with his last album.

Something about his style is so..so.. I don't know. Thick?

Are you kidding? The Blueprint (part 1) is my vote for hip
hop album of the year!

Anyone who hasn't heard it shouldn't judge it - those who
have know what I'm talkin' about.

Hip hop isn't just Def Jux releases kiddies.

but, hip-hop for 2001, in my opinion:

1. DJ Krush - Zen
2. Saul Williams - Amethyst Rock Star
3. N.E.R.D. - In Search Of...
4. D12 - Devils Night
5. Jay-Z - The Blueprint

I think Kweli's new album delivers on this. The problem is
that people don't want to hear stuff like Prefuse - they
want jiggy - that's what's popular.

Oh and titsworth - I know you were discussing Blueprint 2 -
I was referring to people dissing Jay Z in general above.

Talib Kweli's Quality didn't make the top 5?

Now that's impossible - but here goes (from my limited
knowledge of hip hop)

If I had to pick just 5:

Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us
Back
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Nas - Illmatic
Wu Tang Clan - Enter The (36 Chambers)
Outkast - ATLiens

I don't know ... I had to leave out so many great ones -
it's just too tough.

the meatier the better. I can't believe Jack Dangers is a

also buy dead prez's debut album "let's get free". if
venetian snares were black, the instrumentals for that album
would be the tracks he'd make. (the whole album was produced
by dead prez with hedrush.)

the lyrics are all black power, anti-capitalism,
anti-commercial hip-hop, anti-police, etc. if you can block
out misogynist lyrics then you should be able to block these
lyrics out too (unless you happen to agree with them, which
i do).
