ok, i've been seeing these commercials on techtv lately that use a classical piano piece that sounds almost exactly like the main synth line from polynomial C (the 'bubbly, rolling' one)..i think i've heard this peice before..long before polynomial C so i just never connected them...but now that i think of it, the aphex track always did seem kinda familar
so, does anyone know what classical piece i'm talking about? is it the same thing?
if you watch techtv you may have seen the commercial...its on a lot, its advertising a show called "titans of tech"
seems to be an interview/biography of some guy i forget the name of who acts like a football coach...

polynomial-c souns very much like philip glass, perhaps this piano piece was by glass? if so, it could have been 'dance viii' from 'dancepieces' or 'mad rush' from 'solo piano'. if not, really want to know who else writes polynomial-c like piano music (this is not a rethorical question).

yeah, wayout, check out 'dance viii' is the piece... aphex said in an interview that he is a great fan of glass. 'dancepieces' came out 1987, so i'm sure this album was part (and still is a part) of richard's record collection, and was an important influence on polynomial-c.
