'indie veterans' Inspiral Carpets are to reform for a UK
tour, their first for 9 years, yay!

no sign of any new music though :(

i always rated them above the happy mondays & stone roses. i
love their clever melodies as much as their haircuts - what
a great band

tom hingley has a great voice. and the hammond organ is
great. overall they wrote more quality songs than the roses
& the mondays

two worlds collide, weakness, bitches brew - amazing

i'm still not wrong. their greatest hits flows effortlessly
along, no weak tracks (well maybe 1 or 2), fantastic sound,
crap haircuts but brilliant songwriting

I like Clint Boon's theme tune to kids programme Engie
Benjy. Someone stole my "Cool as fuck" badge. I rated them
third after Happy Mondays and Stone Roses. I like all their
upbeat numbers like "Joe", "Draggin me down", "Find out why"
and that one with Mark E Smith, is it "I want you?". I'm not
so keen on the slower "This is how it feels" and "She comes
in the fall" type tracks. Overall, 7/10. Glad they're back.

Inspiral Carpets > Happy Mondays/Stone Roses = True. I used
to love the inspirals when I ws younger. Great band.
