i agree with marlowe, this whole sex issue is WAY
over-hyped... i know plenty of guys (myself included) who
get the crap-end of the stick from girls ALL THE TIME... and
i know plenty of girls who are the ones trying to be players
and doing their black magic on guys... it's not a sex issue,
it's a nice people vs. nasty people issue.

yeah well i'm the last person to mind gender.. anyways the
gender attack isn't pointed towards me this time (or so i
believe). it just happens that the PERSON i am involved with
doesn't show respect.

i'm kinda edgy when it comes to this gender thing. many
people take me for lesbian feminist for saying gender has no
meaning.. aren't people just stupid.

I'm anti-gender AND anti-sexuality. If I see a man and find
him sexually/physically/mentally attractive, then so be
it--his gender doesn't come into it.

i hate the sexual stereotypes on television... they love the
"war of the sexes" thing... only difference is now it's the
WIFE telling the HUSBAND to get in that kitchen and "cook
mah dinna!"

yeah--cynical role-reversal so we're meant to believe that
the companies are hip and liberal. I noticed a new trend of
retro-ads too, which reinfoced the gender stereotype whilst
pretending to be ironic. Makes a person want to puKe.

A loner is someone who has no friends =o(

I'm a loner........ it's great =oD

And your right........ men realy don't have a clue !!

There are a few good men out there but most of the time it's
not worth expecting anything romantic, which sux cause I
love romance !

Most men think that romance means lots of money and big
gestures which is just true. Anything that shows that
they've been thinking about you is enough..... for me anyway
=oD

I don't expect diamonds......... but I wouldent say no if
they were offerd to me! all we realy want is to rule the
world
be treated with some respect and feel special to
you guys out there

Diamonds are dirty. They have a heritage of slavery abuse
and death behind them. I would never sink so low as to offer
a woman diamonds. Plus, they're a cliché.

yeah, once again i agree with marlowe... in order to have a
TRUE relationship, you need to forget your "role" as it's
been taught to you by your mommies and daddies... women
should NOT expect big rings, should NOT expect a guy who
will be their man-servant, should NOT expect a guy to be
their entire life... they SHOULD expect a guy to be warm,
caring, supportive, understanding, listening, romantic, open
and honest (funny doesn't hurt, i found, either). no one
deserves any more or any less.

but they're so sparkley !!!!!

I don't like the realy big ones though. I bought my mum a
really nice diamond ring for xmas 2001. The diamond was so
small I had to look for it on the ring and show her where it
was ! You can see it sparkle in the light though =oD

When I am moved my a person, I will pour my soul into verse.
They always fall for that one...I mean, they always
appreciate the uniqueness.

Respect is imo a basic to a relationship. Without respect
there's no love.
I think the 'Feelings inc.' thing is a matter of
communication. Talking a lot on what you expect, what you
feel, ... can help you a lot further. But without trust &
respect you won't open up yourself to tell your deepest
thought and feelings. It's maybe a cliché but it worked for
me.
If only they didn't have a problem with my urge to
intensity.

disapperared off with another bloke.

Communication is a key aspect of any relationship. Once you
stop communicating, you might as well call it a day.

cloak, sorry to hear that... i was alone as well (as
usual)... harrisburg, pa isn't exactly "enlightened
artsy-girl" central...

more like "bad photocopy of britney spears" central.

hehe other details:

*we're only friends, even though she knows i like her. which
is ok

*i think the dude she went off with was one of her friends

*i had disappeared in the noise out the front with some
other people when she left, i don't blame her for not
finding me

funny how these things can be twisted, huh

now... sucks that she doesn't dig you back, dude. i know how
it is. happened plenty of times to me. oh, wow... now i feel
bad because maybe i really DID have the crappiest
valentine's day....

Same here, Zombiekev. And I find it frustrating that most
people don't believe that 'just' friendship between a girl &
a boy is possible.
