I am a bit dissapointed. Still kind of fun. I really like the piano type bits and the ambient parts. I mean, I like it. But its not the RDJ album.

I agree, its nowhere near the level of the likes of the RDJ album, the SAW's, or even ICBYD...but it's good...

I agree but I only heart the cyrum beats song... and the monkey drummer. Both sounded uninspired.

54 Cymru Beats is one of my favs on the album actually, sounds much better in 320kpbs mp3 form then that crappy realstream audio file....fucking crazy song...oh, and the Monkey Drummer you have heard is only the first minute and a half of one of the best songs on the album, Mt Saint Michel, which is over 8 minutes in length...Vorhosbnd, Nanou2, Cock-Ver2 stand out as other favs for me...

For all those who think the drukqs album is uninspired...... that's what some people said about SAW2 when it first came out. Listen to drukqs for a few days....... it grows on you and then you get to appreciate it......

DEFINATLY my favorite album. Very superstructured on alot of the tracks, and yet, its what hes known for. Ive only even listened (really payed alot of attention) to disk one, and almost every track is phenominal in its own right. I really enjoy the piano parts, even though they come off as sad.
I am in NO WAY dissapointed at ALL.
All of you fans out there who HAVENT heard it yet, will not be dissapointed. anyone hardcore enough to wait, will respect this peice of work like the BLESSING that it is.
I plan on purchasing multiple copies just to support him, and to give as gifts. As I said before, Stupendous album.

I'm grateful that I have a soapbox to talk on.
Personal favorite tracks:
Orban eq trx4 (disk 1) -Although most of the tracks on disk one are moderatly short (with the exclusion of mt saint michael...) This track stands out in my mind. It would be one of the more "aphexish" songs on the disk. It sounds more similer to his his precious acheivements, and yet, very origonal as far as melody. Don't get me wrong, it IS a simple, yet catchy bassline, I can't get enough of it. The sharp kickdrum and snare hits round out his "sound" on this one. A defiante favorite. Sharp sounding, but softened with the low synth. enough echo to keep it interesting, and yet not cluddered with all the backwards samples.
Avril 14th- (disk 1) - I adore this song. It is my favorite piano peice from the entire cd. I have been playing the piano for well over half of my life. It is an instrument that conveys so much emotion to me, personaly. When something this rearkable comes along, I must comment about it. This song only consists of a piano. Possibly either very old, or just put through a number of filters to make it sound that way. Note the pumping sound as each key lifts from the string inside the piano. While listening closly, you can hear very destinct sounds come from inside the instrument, after each note is pressed. While coming off as classical, it has a nice modern flavor that many people find nice in soft jazz.
bbydhyonchord- (disk 1) -This is the other track that most closly resembles richard previous work. Its very light, and dosnt resemble much other than the likes of "beetles," or his less structured, and more downtempo stuff. Bongos, soft synth...all things that go into a calmer relaxed sounding tune. The melody just fades in, along with the rest of the instruments. A soft handclap of a few people can be heard, on every fourth beat, which adds a nice "human" sound to this one.
That is all for now. If anyone else even gives a damn about what I have to say about this album, email me, or post here. I'm sure I'll run into you sooner or later.
Thanks again for the time on the soapbox.

Same here, I have listened to the first disk much more, and my favs are...
Vordhosbn, for its fantastic synth beat and the section that starts a little after the 1:10 mark up to around 2 is so dramatic, brilliant...
Gwely Mernans - Haunting, I love it, sounds like the material on SAWII, except better then 75% of it...
Cock-ver 10 - I love some of the beats in this song, amazing technicality on Rich's part, and some very nice melodies abound...
Mt Saint Michel - Stunning achievment, awesome beats throughout the entire song, my favorites at 4:35 through 5 and the end with the synth voice, just amazing...
Hy a Scullyas Lyf Adhagrow - So melancholic, touching song...
Kesson Daslef - Same as above.
I dont care for Orban at all, reminds me of one of the Girl/Boy 'mixes' which I also didnt care for very much...

When listening to this album it sounds like richard been inspired by a lot of oldschool music like early jungle n shit.
I had hoped for more "im lightyears ahead of you motherfuckers"shit ,like that eqation song on Windowlicker.
Its still a great album though. The strange thing is that i have other versions of certain tracks which i like better. Two of them might be fake but three of them most definetly aren't.
