im trying to make a cd for my music, and what i wanted to do, was make 1 big long mp3 of all my songs mixing together without a pause in between tracks... (see wet tip hen ax -> mookid) and split it up into tracks 1..2..3 you know what i mean?
what programs do i need to do it? i have sound forge? does that work?

i just use windows sound recorder and the command "mix with file". after you save it to wav you can convert it to mp3
only drawback is that it takes ALOT of memory to do this (i have 768mb)

You could use Wavelab (steinberg), you can define track start points if you have one large file with all your songs in it. One problem is that it can't run MP3s, so you'll have to use WAV format... You'll need quite a lot of space though...

You can convert it into a wav, and use any wav editing program to cut the second track from the first, and past it into a new wav file.
I use cooledit to do all my wav editing, but windows comes with a free wav editor. And if you do enough searching you can find better ones.
My problem with burning programs is, I can't find one to burn songs without a two second gap inbetween tracks.

Your just going to have to search for the right software around the net. That would be a feature that is advertised on any shareware package.
Just look around for the right shareware program.

I recommend Nero as a CD-burning application. You can split one WAV into several CD tracks, and have whatever space you need (i.e. none) between them. It's not shareware, but it's quite cheap, and there are always ways of getting something for nothing on the Net, if you know what I mean.
