first of all: i did it; i downloaded the whole album. second: on 22nd oct. i'll buy drukqs and i'm really gladly lokking forward to. [it's one thing having two cds made of mp3 and it's anotherthing having the material vinyl album...]
but the momentary situation is interesting as well: there are so much fake tracks that you could never be sure having an original rdj track. some of the fake tracks are easy to discover, their length simply doesn't match. but even the tracks with the right length could be false. [ok, you could say: it's easy to hear whether it's aphex or not, but: what about music richard never made before? (piano???)]after all i could listen to an album of (a) aphex twin or (b) fake tracks who's authors made enough work to fit the right length. [this gives you the chance to be honest to yourself concerning track quality (and some of them are that unbelieveable great, i'm sure richard made them)] it's a quest which is solved on 22nd october.
ps: if it's really that worse downloading the album, the first way to stop it would be removing the track list...

if your gonna buy it when it comes out, why are you so concerned about having everything 100% correct?

I can almost 100% assure you, that you do not have the entire album, and what you have probly isn't very quality. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to hear it though....

Wow, that was a worthwhile post you made Mr. Violence!
If you haven't even heard it, don't speak out of your ass. The 320kbps MP3s are pretty damn good quality, actually. And they're the real tracks.

And people who just pirate the MP3s and dont buy the album when it comes out are wankers.

I got the album pretty damn soon after it leaked... within 24 hours i beleive. but this is silly. i mean, it's just an album leaking. why is it so hard to beleive? every album leaks! i've had the latest spiritualized for months now (listening to it now) and it dosen't come out for another few weeks! i've had bjorks latest since april and i had amneasic 6 months before it came out. every album leaks now it seems. this is the bloody album, regardless if you want it to be or not. the only way it isn't is if they were fake promo cd's, but who the hell goes to that much trouble? + then we'd only be coming out on top cause then it would be 2 double albums of a rockin good time, but we're not that lucky : )

it's the album. fuckin' deal with it.

no, mr roger keith barrett. it's not "just an album leaking": i got 4 tracks in completly different versions [in fact not different versions, just different songs!] (kesson daslef, hy a scullyas lyf a dhagrow, lornaderek, taking control) and perhaps there are even more fake versions rotating in audiogalaxy. so you can't say "this is the bloody album", because what "this" is the album?: 2 version of 4 tracks mean 2^4 possibilities: 16 combinations!
obviously there are some people thinking it's cool faking aphex twin. that's the difference between a regular album leaking and the drukqs leaking....

Warp sent out a few promo copies along with some Warpmart orders, they did. I they intended that it be leaked. Probly the only way RDJ would actually give them anything.
