oysterclam from brooklyn on 2001-09-01 06:44 [#00028348]

hey,
i'm listening to bjork's newest cd. it's gorgious. i haven't
felt like this since the first time i heard saw2 on lsd
while everyone slept around me.
i'm alone right now, i guess you guys count though, and i
drank a 4oz. bottle of robitussin-max (go ahead, laugh at
me. i thought the same way you do about robo-kids til i
realized how mindblowingly emotional it is.) not recomending
this though.

i'm buzzing, but in a warm, fuzzy, electric kinda way.
love
-clam
___ps: she thanked thom york(e) and rich in the liner notes
(that's pretty cool)

yes I will laugh at you for that sickness.... but the album
is pretty nice.

robo trippin is very strange. it's like alcohol to me....it
makes me laugh, then cry, then angry and finally scared.

album..reflex, you actually like it? :D

oysterclam from brooklyn on 2001-09-01 09:39 [#00028387]

robo's great for some people. it's like k but being able to
comprehend most of the world outside yourself.
see:
k closes the windows so you can only see inward.
and:
dxm shows you (or at least me) how to relate the inner to
the outter of me.

still somewhat trippin. great night. i'm in my uncles house
(with the great view of the statue of liberty) in the west
village.

later guys-
.clam

Simply drinking a bottle of robutussin makes u trip?? What
the...

this guy i know, Adrian, used to robo trip every day, right
in front of the boss he'd be drinking children's artificial
grape flavored robotussin! He'd say the funiest things too,
like how to fucking spade cats and dogs.

The only problem is that shit will burn a hole in your
stomach... HAS ANYONE DONE SHROOMS? I"M READY FOR EM?

thanksomuch from over there on 2001-09-01 19:58 [#00028508]

oyster, it is a wonderful album. i had heard mixed reviews
about it, but personally, i love it. oh and thom's last name
is with an 'e'.. ie:thom yorke. he kicks ass.

LeMoN on 2001-09-01 20:00 [#00028510]

I am listening to it right now, currently, my fav tracks are
1, 3, 4, 10, and 11...the entire album is beautiful however,
very ethereal...

Dave on 2001-09-01 21:55 [#00028530]

i'm not a huge bjork fan -- my favorite bjork track is
"venus as a boy", so you can see the kind of fan i am -- and
i've never felt like buying a bjork album even though
there's always 3-4 tracks on each album that i enjoy... yet,
the raves i've heard about this album, plus the fact that
it's a "quiet" album, seem to point the way to me purchasing
it. the biggest objection i've had to bjork is her voice --
yes, i know, that's the whole fucking point -- but i think
it's an acquired taste, and i haven't gotten to the point
where i can listen to it for more than 20 minutes without
wanting to kill myself. so: is vespertine worth getting for
someone who is not that into bjork? would someone like me
enjoy it?

ross on 2001-09-02 01:37 [#00028553]

dave, if you're really into electronic music like afx i'd
suggest it even more..bjorks voice is not for everyone, but
this is a gorgeous album...maybe dload some mp3s first...try
'undo' and 'pagan poetry'

ross on 2001-09-02 01:37 [#00028554]

reflex, glad you're enjoying it!

oysterclam from brooklyn on 2001-09-02 05:41 [#00028595]

bjorks voice is damn sexy

oh: and if anyone's curious about

The only bad thing is actually drinking the crap. Makes me
gag every damn time. Its okay if you through up though,
somehow it still seems to work!

I just have bought V3sp3rt!n3 today and I'm very glad that
it's not like the mp3s I downloaded before the album came
out: there are little different sounds and arrangements and
completely rebuild songs like frosti and aurora. Let's hope
that the same will be for Aphex Drukqs!!!! ;)

ArTBoY

ps: Aurora from Vespertine is one of the most wonderful
songs I ever heard!!!!!!!! Download it if you don't want the
whole album!!! Bye

Excellent cd.Vespertine.Couldn't wait for anything
better. She is getting better over the years.Besides,Matmos
did such an excellent job providing most of the music behind
Vespertine.I just hope I could be able to se that beautiful
diva by the name of Bjork. She is the real diva.......Forget
all about the commercial crap that called themself
divas, they dont have any talent....Bjork is my Goddess, she
has it all......
