Why not have his face as the background, or even have him
dropping as the blocks, with his body in different
positions? (much like sextris but without the sex)

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-31 13:51 [#00028197]

You made that? A new twist on the game, now the screen moves
up when you rotate the piece, making the game more
difficult. I wonder what you use... are you easily able to
alter it any way you choose or is there a basic prototype
that you have to follow? Could you easily make the pieces
drop sideways instead of down and change the gameplay to
make a little gremlin pacing back and forth that you have to
avoid or something? That would be really fun to tinker with,
I guess you have to know some weird programmer language and
know how stuff. I've never made a game, but I know it's all
based on logic. I read to (ex) make a ufo fly across the
screen: (the screen is a x/y grid.) You somehow say "let
13, -74 be a white pixel" (along with other's to make the
shape of a ufo). and a light will shine at that coordinate.
Now let x decrease by one every 1/8 second or something.
When x= 256 (the end of your screen), x starts to increase
by one instead (the ufo flies back and forth) Then get a
random number generator based on math, not really random, to
make it drop bombs in a seemingly unpredictable manner etc.
It must take forever to make the simplest things. That's why
they need easy to use software programs that let you alter
games such as super mario brothers 64 in almost any way you
like. That would be sweet, and addicting.

No no no - I didn't create the game. It's open source so you
could actually mess around with it. That's what I did. :-)

I'm not changing my name. REFLEX is a word, and I have as
much right to use it in my name as you.
