Ive got a problem.... I use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and im having problems going to mail.yahoo.com and I now it works cause I go everywhere else with this browser and its totally fine..... so now I have to use Netscape {which I dont like at all} for email checking... and Explorer for everything else... its horrible. Anyone have any suggestions as how to fix this problem? It wont load www.mail.yahoo.com but it will load yahoo.com what the heck is with that?

Stupid question but did you do anything or did anything happen before this? If the computer crashed when IE was open maybe something returned to a default setting or something. It's all I can think of.

This has happened to me countless times....
1/Clear your temporary internet files and cache-including cookies--preferably with a program seperate from IE5..
2/Download the bug fix at MS---Can't remember the name of the patch
3/Re-install it...usually works again...
4/Yahoo mail...is shit...I know , I use it, they are always having server fall outs.....wait abit then try again.....
Hope this helps slightly....

Argh! Geez.. ok people {thanks for the help.... wow even phobiazero!} well... lets see here... ok nothing happened when this started to not work, I opened up MIE and typed in www.mail.yahoo.com and nothing happened, infact ill get a screenshot of what happens..... in the browser a tiny little arrow??? thingy comes up and it just says its loading and recieving the html file /mail.yahoo.com/ from the server and does it forever. But If I open up Netscape it works perfectly fine - so I know its not the yahoo servers its my browser.
Here is what is even weirder, I un installed {erased first off} MIE and reinstalled from the Microsoft Office 2001 CD. And it still doesnt work.. I tried erasing cookies, erasing cache files.. nothing has seemed to work, but iam extreemly frustrated by this problem, because... well I just am. and id love to fix it ill take a screen shot or two and post em up here. Thanks.....

REFLEX TWIN: no.. because I dont get porn emails.. I got them for like 1 hour the first day... I used the yahoo mail accounts filter to get rid of them... I dont get them anymore. Whoever is trying to send them to me is wasting a lot of time. .. if they still are.

here are the URLS to the two screen shots.. not much to look at but it gives you an idea of what the hell is going on... first {screen shot 1} it does nothing.. then {screen shot 2} it says its loading something as in 1 and then it has that little stupid arrow looking thing in the corner... as you can see
