Bob Mostly The Salesman from your front porch on 2001-08-30 17:13 [#00027860]

Hey Guys
Bob Mostly here.
I noticed when you think to hard about what or why music
created was created the way it was, it totally takes the
emphasis off the real reason the track exsists in the first
place. To touch a certian part of the brain that goes.. "gee
I like this" when you dwell on the mathmatical theories and
deep hidden meanings behind them (when if you read most of
the interviews with the bands, there just isnt any), then
well shoot darn it folks you just suck the joy out of the
track as a whole and I for one, don't like that, so stop it
before you ruin all of AE's amazing tracks..

I agree with you bob, and I would like to buy one of those
toasters. Autechre makes the construction so mad and
scientific I can't figure it out usually if I try anyway. I
can't figure out the polyphony of www.mp3.com/imaginary
either even though he uses really simple sounds.

for me it depends on the moods...If I am in an analytical,
inquisitive, nutting out the bolts mood, I will put on me
thinkin cap and try and nut out everything I hear..if i just
wanna put me feet up and chill and just do that..I think it
is amazing that most of the artists discussed on this board
have the complexity, the chops and the mastery of moods that
anyone can get anything out of their tunes...a mental
workout and/or just plain cruisy fun

I imagine what rabbits and such sound like when given fluts.
Or as I like to call them FLOOTES. God speed my friends.
