AMP was the best show on MTV, next to when they used to play The Young Ones episodes, and now it isn't even on Sunday nights anymore. It was the only show on MTV where you had ANY chance of seeing the video for Come To Daddy, or Squarepusher's Come on My Selector as well as countlessother electronic artists. Does anyone who has MTV2 know if it's moved to that channel? I figured it just got slowly weeded out and moved to MTV2 like all of MTV's music content in their grand conspiracy to force you to subscribe to MTV2 :).

I have MTV2 and I haven't seen Amp on there once. They mostly play the same shitty videos as MTV. Although every once in a while you might catch something rare (not much techno though).

amp from five years ago was cool, but maybe thats because there wasn't so much shitty electronic music. amp is on mtv2, and mouse of its crap. i do like the mouse on mars video though.

they relaunched amp when this years detroit music festival occurred i believe. i've seen better stuff on muchmusic on the wedge and another show they have that has people send in videos from the net. there was a video by konstructiv politburo. it was like jega, autechre, and a little bit of evil. i think the website is konstructiv.net.

yeah, amp's on mtv2 now. (friday nights @ 10 or 11 est.) but its kinda gone downhill since back when it was on mtv(...when they actually showed it).
they basically play the same videos every week (with a few exceptions)
and have recently begun mixing in shitty non-electronic videos into the playlist (so far i've seen the new bsb video like 3 times on amp...) i also think mtv2 as a whole has been going downhill since it was "relaunched" last winter...but its still better than regular mtv...what the fuck happened?? it started off as a music channel..playing just music videos, then they started adding more and more music related shows... then more non-related shows...now mtv seems pretty much devoid of any musical content...whats worse is that they've replaced the music with some of the worst aspects of american television...
professional wrestling, soap operas, "reality" shows and game shows...karaoke game shows!!
well that was my rant for the day...

was ANYTHING on MTV ever that good?
except maybe "12 Angry Viewers" or the "25 Lamest Videos Of ALL Time." I was funny to see Vanilla Ice beat the shit out of Debbie Gibson and Rico Suave mannequins, and seeing Chris Kattan cringe in terror.
Don Johnson certainly had a shitty video, but i believe the Eddie Murphy feat. Micheal Jackson video should have gotten the worst rating. Jesus, that video made me want to shoot myself. Thank god it's gone forever now..... but i'm pretty sure VH1 will fucking dig it up for some Michael Jackson marathon as a LOST MJ Video or some stupid shit like that...........

If you're gonna do that, you could at least make some relevant contribution to the argument at the same time. If the topic isn't interesting enough to warrant it, why are you resurrecting it?
