qrter-
its "sal batardes" off of "aftermath", yes its a goodie

corngrower-
long time no make fun of iowa eh?, you need to get this its
great , you wont be disappointed

the only thing i dont like about the cd is the back
insert where it lists the artists, remixers, taken from
info, its kinda confusing, tons of text on one insert

excellent compilation, as is 10+1 and 10+2.

its difficult to say what the stanout tracks are without the
album in front of me, but its consistantly good throughout.

surgeon - LFO 'Nurture' remix - the awesome track!

offline VLetr from London (United Kingdom) on 2004-07-09 02:43 [#01271129]

the surgeon mix of LFO's nurture is blatantly the best thing
on the album, i agree. that plunging bass line is just
awesome, and the whole broken beat thing... i always got the
impression that surgeon was straight up 4/4 techno though,
is this track just an anomaly in his back catalogue or
what?

i don't like the richard devine track, or any richard devine
tracks really. virtuoso digital manipulation, certainly, but
without any real feeling. even at their most obtuse,
autechre have feeling, that sad atmosphere, a spark of
something nostalgic and beautiful.

plaid mix of vletrmx, autechre mix of nightmares on wax,
stereolab remix of boards of canada

all very good

I don't like the stereolab version of kid for today.

i understand what you are saying, and i'm okay with that.

I actually don't know why really, i think it is because i
think it is impossible to remix boards of canada without
taking something away from it...

one thing i really like about it is how it takes that main
melody and reproduces it, but also adds something new to
it.

kind of a gripe i have with other remixes, that this one
fixes up nicely.

it's all taste though.
