yes yes, i know i'm 8 years late and all that (better late
than never!), but i just got weezer's blue-album a few days
ago :-)

Before this i only had the green album.

This album is just brilliant! It seems so simple at first
sight, but these songs really get under your skin... they
instantly make me happy when i listen to 'em :-) Maybe this
music is not as complex and deep etc as some other great
artists... but i still think rivers cuomo is a brilliant
musical genius! Every single song is a classic.

Yep! Great album!
The "Buddy Holly" video was the first music video ever that
i was impressed by.

Lol, i was just listening to Holiday when i read that...
exactly that part!

it's kind of funny to hear "buddy holly" uninterupted
though...

After "i don't care 'bout that, i don't care 'bout
that
"

I expect to hear:

crowd: oooooaaaahhh...
voice: stay tuned for more happy days!

rivers: bang bang, knock on my door...

that video suits the song so well!

yeah i love that one too! (and the song... maladroit is next
on my wishlist).

kermit:"the muppetshow is proud to present... i hope...
weezer!
"

misspiggy: "admit it patrick, you cannot resist
moi!
"

lol, i really think it's done superbly! Also during the
song, i love how miss piggy tries to steal the microphone as
soon as she spots the camera... hehe

hey they weren't half bad...
nope, they were all bad!

:-p

dislike the green album very much. One of my worst buys.

Blue album though = tiny masterpiece.

yep, clearly they were all having a great time shooting that
video. And their enthusiasm definitly carries across to the
viewer :-)

i hear that i lot, but i don't get it at all. I think the
albums are both equally great. Maybe green album is *a
little* louder... slightly more rock than pop, but the
differences are very small imo.

Especially no one else reminds me alot of one of the
green songs, i'll have to look up which one.

point is: i don't understand how a person could hate one of
those albums, and like another... they are so much alike!

i don't find them alike in any manner.

i find the green album original, inspiring, with a "we don't
give a shit, this is what we do" feel. In the garage is
about just that, how they're losers, and that's the way it
is.

Green album is: We can make a 30 minute CD and sell
1million+ of them. Teenage Victory Song is the only one
that reminds me of the carefree nature of Blue.

Green seems forced, un fun, and un weezer, with non of the
fun hooks of "Keep Fishin" which to me sounds like a grown
up, more able, but still fun Weezer

hm... uh... yeah. I get what you're saying, but when i
listen to green album i don't hear that at all... it sounds
brilliant to me.

:-)

And yes it's only 30 minutes long... but that's because it's
very to the point

If blue album wouldn't have "only in dreams", it'd be 8
minutes shorter... approximately the length of green i
guess.

All a matter of taste anyway, i'm glad i don't agree with
you ;-) Now i can enjoy 2 brilliant weezer-albums :-D

What'd you think about pinkerton then? I haven't heard much
about that album. Is it any good?

people say it's their best work or something.

I bought it and sold it promtly. That was like 5 years ago,
and my musical ear wasn't what it is (no, it's still not
very good either ;)

album just didn't catch my ear. Most weezer fans and
hardcore audio kids find it to be their best album.
*obviously this means it didn't sell well*

i love that album

that sounds promising enough! But it is weird their
supposedly best album went by so... well... unnoticed. It's
like weezer had just dissapeared from the face of the earth
back then.

Oh well... i'll definitly be checking it out! thanks.

i bought the blue album when it first came out, absolutely
love it. then i got 'pinkerton' and hated that pile of
garbage, so i stopped listening to them for a while. few
years later i really got into the blue album again and
decided to download some of their newer stuff, from
Maladroit.. brilliant! they've gone back to their old style,
kick-ass rock and roll

Blue album will go down in history as one of the best albums
of all time, along with Orbital- in sides. And so on and so
forth.

lol, those albums aren't related in any way! :-p

But i do agree... it's one of those classic albums that
people will still listen to in 50 years time.

ok lets get this straight green and maladroit are among the
worst rock records ever, green moreso than maladroit, green
was a huuuuuge piece of shit, oh my god its nothing like
weezer used to be. pinkerton and blue were good, pinkerton
was better, now i dont even own any weezer or anything like
this music. i still can see how\why people like weezer(but
not green\maladorit). i bet people will listen to them in
50 years or whatever but maladorit and green are just
painfully bad, uninspired, horrible songwriting and lyrics.
im done now, just stating my opinion

after green, simply didn't bother with maladroit.

Song/video for keep fishing are hardcore though

How they figured out the tempo change in the middle, well,
it's great
