Good film. HST is my favourite journalist and this film is as good an adaption as you could ask for.
If you like this, try reading the Rum Diaries and Hells angels by him. Don't bother with the book it's very, very close to the film...

WOOH! extremely weird. and very funny. don't understand how all the reviews were bitching about Depps accent at the time - it fits perfectly with the character.
love the part where Depp wakes up in the utterly destroyed hotelroom with a microphone taped to his head... :)
but what can you do: Terry Gilliam is a GENIUS!
I would like to see it again..

i've been curious to READ the book.....then perhaps i'll watch the movie. i really like johnny depp, i think he's really unrated as an actor because he's attractive.
i'm glad to see that the movie has some admirers......i'll watch it after i read the book fo shure!

Yes, he is a good actor, he's one of those ones like Brad Pitt who a lot of men slag off and say he's just used because women fancy him. He is very good though, especially in Fear & Loathing and also What's eating gilbert grape?

Brilliant film, I love it. The way the raoul duke's narrative is so different to the way he speaks in the film is so funny :D
Was there no communication in this car? Had we been reduced to the level of wild animals?..."He was lying to me!"...Wait a minute, did I say that, or just think it?...
