Dislodge from Canada on 2001-03-30 08:54 [#00002035]

Can anyone tell me the story about this album I remeber
hearing about a while back?!

Aphex Twin with Mike Pop's Orchestra: Freebase Connection

I think I read about it at Amazon.com, and that it was
coming out in early 2000, or 2001??? Does this thing exist?

Here's a link I stumbled on, but it doesn't tell me
anything?!

It's called Mike Flowers Pops meets The Aphex Twin. I know
cos I own it. It came out in 95. it's basically some shit
wannabe 60's band (they did a cover of Oasis's 'Wonderwall'
which was a hit in England) who have covered the motown
song, Downtown. However, its backed up by 6 remixes by Luke
Vibert and Aphex among others. I really like the aphex mix,
very jazzy. I don't know how rare it is but i bought it from
www.sisterray.co.uk about a year ago for a fiver........

I've got that 12" as well, the Aphex mix is lush... you got
a bargain there, I saw it in a second hand vinyl shop in
Manchester for £35. Unless you've got the CD, in which
case, you probably still got a bargain.

...I'd like to point out I didn't buy the £35 copy, I
bought it when it came out for a fiver. I'm not that sad.
