Crunch's album 1 is genius and is not on warp. It's on musik aus strom or something. As for that show who's the boss, it's one of my least favorite all time shows. |

People use the word GENIUS far too quickly nowadays, and Aphex is truly only worthy of that title A genius is usually observed for years and his/hers levels of consistency in brilliance. Crunch cannot even come in Aphex batting range . |

I am 1000% with you Raphael,RDJ is trully a Genious in terms of music.Also,he was the one who opened the door for such artits as Squarepusher,Baby Ford,U-ziq and Cylob among others,with his excellent Rephlex label.So,admit it,he is the real deal here.He can make a lot of artists sound like shit.I am still expecting his new Drukqs release,wich I know it is going to be an excellent one,of course,RDJ style,some ambient,some drill-n-bass and some experimental.That is the thing I really like most of RDJ.He will not play the same thing over the whole record,like most commercial crap artist do......Can't wait for Drukqs.......I really need my dose right away........ |

The only thing Aphex Twin is would be closest to a chameleon. Hes a copycat at best, w/ no original concepts to bring to the table. He feeds off his talented friends for ideas, and works fairly efficiently that way. But a genious he is not. He just improvises what others do a bit better than the originators did themselves. I'll give the little gerbal that much. Fuck Drukqs, corperate Warp handmedown shit album. If I wanted to hear Hangable Auto Bulb Id listen to it. If I want to hear Samariua Math Beats I'll put it on. Actually Dead Redundance, he used to room w/ Jenkinson for some time and RDJ Album is drenched w/ >[] influence. The chaotic so-called drill n bass trax are Pushers to own and raise and call his own ect. Luke Vibert got Richard into D&B/Jungle in the first place and one can see Vibertish style D&B on HABI and II. Drukqs leaches Bogdan Rakzynkis style for a couple of rollcoaster rides. Im sorry for being so mean earlier. I hadnt medicated yet but now Im much calmer. |

i'd say hes quite good. i dont know if he has copied or not, nor do i care. i would not call him a genius though. besides genius is only for brains not talent, isnt it? (im ASKING this as im not sure...fuck im middle of the road) |

Raphael, your first step was to show that the word genius was subjective and your second step was to shower aphex twin with that word as if it was a fact and not your opinion.
