Can someone recommand me some good free Wavetable Softwaresynths ?
I have the feeling you can produce a wider range of sounds with a Wavetable Synth, than a conventional synth...im confused....post links. Thankx

There's a dxi plugin called livesynth pro that lets you use soundfont format samples in Cakewalk or whatever.... probably cheaper and easier to buy a Live card though. It's free in the sense that it's freely available on kazaa.
IMHO making soundfonts is an enormous pain in the ass though.
A much more interesting though non wavetable synth is the FM7 from Native Instruments, which emulates (and then some) the old Yamaha DX7 fm synths. You can do some crazy shit with that thing. It sounds unearthly. Also "free" on Kazaa.
