every sitcom nowadays is dumb. I despise Friends, I hate
3rd Rock, and every other one I catch snippets of is
insipid. what happened to the good ol' days of TGIF? :)

most overrated piece of crap on television.

I remember a show called 'You can't do that on television'.
it was a skit based show. at the end someone would always
get slime poured on them. i look back on some of the
sketches they did and the regular reoccuring skits such as
one that had a mexican asking a kid what his last wishes
were before he was shot. the kid always tried did something
so that he wasn't shot. made the mexican so angry lol.

i hate the fact that most good u sitcoms eventually get
boring. the first few seasons, they're hilarious, then they
run out of funny ideas and the sitcom starts to look like a
soap.

i.e. friends

only seinfeld didnt fall into this trap after like 9-10
seasons.

i searched a comedy the other day and this thread came up,
but also my 'shit comedies' thread which i think has a tad
more a catchy title. of course it was conceived at the time
because there was a thread title like 'good comedies' or
something.

sure sitcoms are terrible... but they pail in comparison to
some of the current reality TV offerings (if not always in
content, then certainly with regards to the damning
sociological significance they ooze)...

my personal favourite right now is the one where you watch
Southwest airline employees take shit from people who have
missed their flight...
