so i went to this dnb club in boston. (Dj?) Matrix spun. Apparently hes famous or something in the dnb scene?
Anyways, it was a good time...
but it was wierd, had a movie playing in the background, and i recognized it from when i was a kid. called "The Last Unicorn"
i dont remember the plot... except there is this girl who turns into a unicorn, and this witch hexes her, and there is a bull made of fire or something?
anyways, it provided for good visuals with the intenese dnb

I loved that movie so much, still do. The harpy and the red bull scared the bejeezus out of me. The theme song by America is timeless. It's right up there with Akira/Transformers/Princess Mononoke as one of my favorite animated films ever.
Reason I'm bumping this up, if anyone cares about this wonderful little movie, is apparently they're remaking it... according to the IMDB.
A quick google search revealed to me that it's going to be LIVE ACTION... I'm wary. The original had a gorgeous animation style, I wish they could have left it well enough alone..
Same voice talent... Christopher Lee, Mia Farrow (THANK GOD, I had a crush on her voice), Angela Lansbury, Jeff Bridges, etc. So if they're STILL doing the voices... that would imply that it's ALL computer generated? Well, Final Fantasy did it well...
I dunno... animation has a certain ambience that you can't get anywhere else, I don't see the point of this. But I'm still looking forward to it.

Matrix is Jamie Quinn, the younger brother of Matt Quinn who is also known as Optical...and I am sure you have heard of Optical of Ed Rush and Optical fame.
Personally I don't think Matrix is as talented as his brother, but he has still made some stormers in the past :D

i've got his Sleepwalk album... i used to like it when i was a bit into dnb. now it's history :) but i still consider ANGEL as one of the most amazing electronic tracks ever. it's unlike the rest of the album... so simple, upbeat and almost 'rockish'
