A tune, a a long tune (14:26 min) from the Akira Soundtrack. One of my favourite songs of all time. Yeah, I know, it's a combination of different songs, but as a whole, it blows you away. Damn emotional, and DAMN powerful. I'd say it's much better if you've seen the movie. Yes. Peace.

I really, really like the tracks with the Gamelan.
Overall, it's an amazing soundtrack. I like the Ghost In The Shell soundtrack too. Does anyone know if Perfect Blue has one released?

yeah i got that ghost in the shell sound track also.. its great..
i like that sound like someone has their fingers just tapping the blades of a fan as it spins round.. it is a reacuring theme in most of the tracks..
i also have patlabor the movie 2 soundtrack.. some very cool stuff on that too.. some of which sounds like the music from the first metal gear on psx/1 ..

The music for what became the Akira soundtrack would work so well as simply an avant-garde freakazoid release, combining japanese ethnic curiosities to cyberpunk technofetishes. But it works even better as a thematic whole, relating to the haunting world of Ôtomo Katsuhiro's visions.
Ace.
