They also don't give up on "impossible" ideas where other people would. Remember, bees are technically too heavy for their wings to support :)

People who may be considered geniuses are percieved as acting different because their brains opperate in a different fashion as 'normal' people. Of course they are going to seem a bit eccentric.
The only thing I kinda find unfortunate about this situation is that a lot of people with halfway to normal intelligence have picked up on this and pretend to be out there so that people may percieve them as being eccentric, therefore a possible genius. It makes it really hard to determine who may or may not be sencere about it all.
It kinda makes me sad :(

"Marriage from love as vinegar from sweet wine"

Taxi: I know what you mean, out of all the people I know who act a "bit odd" only 1 of them even approaches genius.

Yeah. I have a couple "friends/acquaintances" who have made artistic-fraud and bullshit-eccentricity a fine art. It kinda pisses me off.

I act a bit odd because I want to annoy people, not to make them think I'm a genius. Is that fair enough?

Yes, as long as you carry around a sandwich board disclaimer saying "I'm odd because I'm annoying- not because I'm a misunderstood genius." ;)
