I said elsewhere I will start a thread about it and here I am
I love this EP and yet hardly hear anything about it on this board..it's one of the warmer funkier ventures of Autechre..and the complexity of layered percussive samples on some of the tracks holds up against the best of the Schematic artists...
I just went to look it up on All Music and there's no listing of it there?..so like a lot of Americans havent heard/heard of this EP or something?

I think it's some of their best work. Especially Krib.
Pencha is so psychotic, I picture all kinds of little fluffy monster dolls going around killing everyone. Heh... it's so demented but it's so cute.

This is one of the few Autechre releases I haven't heard yet. I'm looking forward to it though.

best phoenecia I heard was the first track in one of the compilations (ischematic folks, or lily of the valley... I forget which)
The last 2 tracks in chichlisuite are some of my favorite autechre tracks, they're sooooooooooo good. I love how the 5th one evolves. 4th has the wickedest composition.

I love the whole thing. I like the strange sounds yeesland uses. The crazy time signature in Charachi is cool. Krib speaks for itself. And Tilapia is just too funky :D

i like autechre's remix of odd job by phoenecia, completely insane. phoenecia themselves are far easier to listen to, in comparison to that

nobody has ever told me what the hell this EP (Cichlisuite) has to do with tropical fish, and cichlids and particular... does one or another Autechre dudes keep cichlids and tropical fish...?
it just makes me wonder what their song titles mean... i think people tend to assume that they are just made up words......
