Q-Chastic is limited to 100 copies, it's not even a release. Caustic Window Album is at a mere 4, with one lost, so there are 3. The people that hold these albums are not likely to rip them to Mp3, my friend.

diao: actually, the info about the q-chastic ep is fake. according to mike p, he's never seen the ep at rdj's house or in the rephlex stockroom, and all rephlex and rdj releases are kept in those two places. so it doesn't exist as a pressed record. it may, however, exist in rdj's personal dat collection or on his hard drive. but the info about the ep is TOTALLY UNTRUE. the fact that mike p says so clinches it, but think about it - if there were 100 copies then there'd be mp3's of it like there are of AB5 and some of the rarer singles. even melodies from mars (which has a rephlex catalog # apparently) is on the net, that can't be too common in its original form.

I've never seen the q-chastic album on any file sharing network, and I've been looking for a long time.
However, you can find the track "Phlaps" which I think is the only unique song on the Caustic Window album.

Don't hunt: Q-chastic EP doesn't exist, definately. No hope to get the caustic window -album, there are only 4 copies in existance.

1) Q-Chastic DOES exist...as DATs at Richard's parents' house (straight from Richard himself - take that as you will)
2) Caustic Window Album - 4 copies exist, owned by RDJ, Mike P, Cylob and Grant. Only two songs from it exist commercially (Cunt from the Taking Liberties and Phlaps from TEEX - might have those reversed).
3) MfM does NOT have a catalogue number, as it was not an official planned release (rumours have it as being a successor to ICBYD) - just a collection of tracks passed around to friends of Richard and WARP and Rephlex heds. One person (who shall remain nameless) leaked it onto the internet, hence being able to find it online.

They are reversed - "Cunt" is from Trance Europe Express 3. I don't have the other comp.

Nope, asked Grant ages ago - said it was not. I think that implies it was going to be a WARP release, but you never know.

I certainly hope not - but remember, he's used many pseudonyms for Djing in the past, any only one was ever used for a release (Bradley Strider).

true, but besides dj manmaster and names he's recorded under, haven't all his dj names been variations of his birth name? since manmaster isn't, maybe it's his next recording alias. sounds like it'd be a venetian snares style endeavor..?!

I doubt the fifth owner will admit owning it. And if they do, they proly won't give out mp3's. It would be nice. If I got exclusive mp3's of it and was asked NOT to share them, I wouldn't share them, or tell anyone I have them. I'd just feel special...

muthafucka you. ;)
i have to admit though, i'm the same way. "if" ;) i were given exclusive/unreleased mp3's by an artist i wouldn't send them out or discuss them either. not only would that ruin my trust with the artist, it's also just a real "dick" thing to do to anyone.

Tits: Don't forget Woodenspoon and Rubber Johnny ;) But I think he's done with doing things under pseudonyms...or is he?
(that was sarcasm for those not-in-the-know, Richard is NOT Woodenspoon or Rubber Johnny)
