plonker - nice version of wanker.

mostly used by a character called Del-boy in a British
sitcom called "only fools and horses".

you know.......i LOVE slsk.....and nir's a good guy.....but
all these DAMN topic's about it on this MB drive me NUTS.

how about we all do this.....if slsk doesn't work....maybe
look on SLSK.ORG and see if there is a NEW version......if
so.....d/l and no worries.

if not....maybe you can check with buddies on messenger
systems and see if it's working for them.

if not......LAST resort....do a search on the MB and find
out if someone else is having the same trouble. or use one
of the old topic threads to ask....

just some friendly suggestions =0)

gotta agree with LeCoeur, these Soulseek threads are getting
out of hand....

Anyone got any suggestions how we can handle this?...i.e.
link to their website/messageboard & server status...

Soulseek is a "bootleg" service, its kinda silly to expect
it be as reliable as your phone or cable that you paid for
(or your mommy and/or daddy)... this is obvious!!!!!!

and Soulseek always has updated itself auto that i have
experienced, and works usually or at least often... just be
happy when it works! geezus! it's a free unofficial
service!!

word, Ubik...spot on....

altho "bootleg" sin't the word I'd choose...but I can see
what you're getting at...

SS isn't some huge corporations, it's just one guy offered a
service to the community....without financial support
(beyond donations...)...

"Looking a Gift Horse in the Mouth" springs to mind then I
see SS basing threads like this....

And if you wanna see it get more reliable then I suggest you
put your money where you mouth is, and fork out a
donation...($5 is like £3 or 5 euros..)...

sorry, mini-rant over...:)...
