ok bottom line is that PC is the best.. consistantly the
best graphics available on ANY platform (even xbox, the most
graphically powerful of the nextgen systems, doesnt match up
to top of the line graphics processing for PC). Also, the
controls of PC are the most challenging and indepth as well,
for their are exponentially (by a small power of course =p)
more keys, not to mention the extreme level of precision
control that the mouse adds, plus thru midi/serial/usb
ports, all sorts of peripherals can be used, including
flightsticks and throttles, something I dont see(at least
not good ones) for many consoles. Also, computers can do a
lot to add to the gaming experience, ie, if you have
internet you can look up walkthroughs, reviews, and cheats
for games, but you cant do that on your console, can you? In
addition, PC has the ability for as many player multiplayer
as the game itself allows, as opposed to however many
controller slots there are on the console. Finally, with the
birth of filesharing programs like kazaa, many games can be
downloaded (illegally) for free. Another asset of the P.C.
is that via the internet, countless mods/skins/levels are
available for many games, allowing the player to totally
revamp/warp the game to his/her liking. I think it's obvious
which is the most capable gaming platform. :)

Pikmin is a real time strategy game of sorts along with some
other elements. A great game, very addicting as is Luigis
mansion. I reccomended you buy luigis mansion if you see it
cheap or at least rent it its incredibly fun until its over.
but do trade turok in for pikmin. theyre are several
different endings depending on how many pieces of your ship
you collect. I haventy gotten them all yet but I havent
played in a while either because Ive been playing too much
Eternal Darkness, RE remake and Mario sunshine.

The babe magnet behind the desk at EB told me to pick up
Monkey Ball 2 instead of Pikmin.. After just playing it for
about 30 minutes I don't think I'm really going to like it.
Just a bunch of shallow minigames and redundant courses..
No plot, no sense of development or progression.. I guess
their ears are sort of cute... but I can't believe that
bastard recommended it to me! Is this all the first Monkey
Ball game consisted of?

Take it back, break the case, and stab him with it.

I'm seriously considering it!
Or I could asphyxiate him by stuffing his AD&D manual down
his throat... Argh!

Gamecube makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Nintendo has this magic that Sony and Microsoft can't
emulate. And Sega, sadly, are in no position to do anymore.
:-(

I admit, Gamecube is a sweet little console... Don't know if
I would want Xbox or Gamecube more...

methinks xbox because it can play dvd and will have some
awesome games soon.

The Gamecube sure is a loveable little system, but as far as
raw power, memory, and graphical capabilities go, the Xbox
is champion.. Of course none of this means anything without
innovative games that utilize the box's features -- which
there will be plenty of.....Soon. The closest one on the
horizon is Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. Not sure what the
release date on that is but it's sometime soon.

Every demo game I play for these damn 128 bit consoles has
left me unimpressed. except sonic, which I briefly played,
that looked cool.

star fox... what the hell is with that lame annoying foreign
language they force the player to hear when she talks? Okay
I EASILY killed a flying hardly interactive air ship... now
I'm on some boat with typical annoying and purposeless
crates you can move around. this isn't fun. I don't want to
move crates. I found this key and they made a big ass cut
scene deal about it, even though it was super easy to find.
finally I walk up to some dinosaur dood. (a cut scene plays
which is pretty cool, but this isn't a game, it's a movie)
Finally I end up on some other ship I guess and there's ONE
pathetic enemy, a floating jelly fish or something, that is
harder to deliberately be attacked by than avoid. This is
pathetic, am I right? I'm hardly interested in playing
further.

has anyone seen another "mario 64 clone" demo... the main
character is this, cat or something, but it's face looks SO
stupid. Who would want to be that character?? It would be
better if the screen just advanced when you moved and didn't
have to be limited in imagination to being that retarded cat
with a super flat wimpy face. Let's see, for x-box, they had
a stupid car game with really annoying rock and roll music
or something. it doesn't seem fun. as for smash brothers on
gamecube, the fighting techniques and strategy are nothing
compared to street fighter 2 where strategy actually
mattered. I guess mario sushine looked pretty cool, I was in
some level where you fight a huge ass centepede. What the
hell were they thinking when they gave him a water cannon??
WTF? turning into a racoon or fire ball slinger is cool, but
this is just bizarre.

i bought the Gamecube this week... it is a sweet product...
but there are definately very few interesting titles out
there now..... Pimkin sounds interesting, suppossed to have
unique gameplay, maybe that is why a lot of people don't
like it...

i think that Nintendo provides a different experience from
the PC... Xbox just seems like Microsoft, which already
dominates the PC market, is trying to force people to buy a
second, very limited computer... screw 'em...

I've just bought Super Monkey Ball online and pre-ordered
"The Matrix Reloaded". I just need to pick up my GC & a
Memory Card tommorow and I'll be a happy chappy.

i never expected i'd be playing zelda before you would have
already finished the entire game!... that's really fucked
up. You mean to tell me the game has been sold out for all
these weeks now? I feel your pain man :-(
If your television supported PAL i'd send you a copy ;-)
