other arovane:
atol scrap is ae influenced-but damn good
icol diston is the latest and its a collection of 12"'s
proported to be good also-i'm waiting for it to arrive in
mail....
the arovane/phenom colab cd has been very well recieved -i
likes it too!

the arovane & phonem album is masterful!! one of the best
things i heard in months!
it's a different style than the tides lp, more like atol
scrap only way more advanced and less autechre like

didn't like the icol diston collection that much, though.
that's mostly older stuff

Tides is a little more melodic, the others being a bit
darker...

I'm going to buy icol diston very soon...

to put it bluntly: tides = arovane does boc

while his other albums = arovane does autechre

not that i don't like him, i love his stuff, there's
incredible hidden gems on some of his eps

Tides is brilliant, I actually haven't heard the rest of his

i think arovane has forged out his own style... his work has
a distinct voice, which i can hardly say for many other
artists who are likened to either AE or BoC...
