Organ Grinder/Glyph Whitey from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-16 00:25 [#00022268]

Autechre and Aphex Twin
Squarepusher and Les Claypool
Bogdan Raczynski and Ovuca
DMX Krew and Depeche Mode

haha... i know.. most of them will probably never happen...

how about you people?

ross on 2001-08-16 00:26 [#00022269]

Oh my God..Squarepusher and les, perfect!

Organ Grinder/Glyph Whitey from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-16 00:34 [#00022271]

Have Tom J doing some of his fast, MMW-reminscent Jazz
drumming (something like Don't Go Plastic) and Les slapping
his bass at supersonic speed....

that would be a kick-ass track. plus, i like both Primus and
Squarepusher so it works out.

ross on 2001-08-16 00:37 [#00022273]

yeah, definitely..i'm not a big primus fan, but i watched a
video recently and les' bass playing is really
unbelievable..

ross on 2001-08-16 00:37 [#00022274]

(a live video)

Organ Grinder/Glyph Whitey from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-16 00:50 [#00022276]

any others than that you'd like to see?

if Les and Tom J made a song, it should be called:

"Theme from Sathington Willoughby"

ross on 2001-08-16 02:18 [#00022283]

id like to see a tool/tori amos collaboration personally..or
a maynard/tori one

Organ Grinder from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-16 05:48 [#00022304]

that would be good. Maynard is apparently a big fan of Tori.

ross on 2001-08-16 06:13 [#00022308]

yeah, and they're good friends too..he came to sing with her
at a concert awhile ago, a duet of 'muhammed my friend'..i'm
happy cuz Tori is coming here (vancouver) in november..

Quoth from Lincoln on 2001-08-16 06:14 [#00022309]

good topic to discuss.... i'm pondering... Beth Gibbons
(Portishead lead singer) and Luke Vibert.

ross on 2001-08-16 06:47 [#00022314]

beth gibbons is a great singer..so emotive..

Quoth from Lincoln on 2001-08-16 06:52 [#00022315]

yeah... her vocal range is creepy... i wish i could even
hold a pitch with my voice... she has a broad range just
like vibert has the various charachteristics with his
aliases.

Quoth from Lincoln on 2001-08-16 07:00 [#00022316]

oooh... another idea: Meat Beat Manifesto and Jane's
Addiction with Les Claypool on bass :)

Mescaline on 2001-08-16 07:24 [#00022320]

Disjecta and Apollo 440 - great idea

Scooter and Britney spears is the way better

=|R3FL3X|= from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-08-16 08:34 [#00022325]

Aphex Twin - William Orbit
Nine Inch Nails - Aphex Twin {again}
Orbital - The Orb
Juno Reactor - Underworld
Sublime - Nirvana {cant be done... both singers killed
themselves, and are obviously not around}.

i on 2001-08-17 13:08 [#00022677]

Mescaline on 2001-08-17 13:21 [#00022683]

Nooo!! William Orbit - good!
Underworld and Juno Reactor??
Nooo once again!!
Underworld vs Omar Santana with some winding up voice of
Karl Hyde

phiz from Amsterdam on 2001-08-17 13:44 [#00022691]

Bogdan and me

rob fragilenine from a warm place on 2001-08-17 14:22 [#00022698]

I think AFX should do a live show with a symphony
orchestra... and play stuff like Girl/Boy Song, etc...

walt from europe on 2001-08-17 15:14 [#00022703]

yeah, that\'s a great idea. versions for symphony orchestra
(orchestrations by philip glass) of

girl/boy
pancake lizard
the first track of sawii cd2
polynomial-c
logon rock witch

and steve reich and musicians should perform flim and nannou

Tall Men on 2001-08-17 15:44 [#00022708]

Krist Novoselic, Jamie Theakston, Chris Morris, Sacha Baron
Cohen, Ed O'Brien, Jon Snow, Joe Cornish.

Garry Shandling from Sherman Oaks on 2001-08-17 23:22 [#00022849]

lizard from Michigan on 2001-08-17 23:30 [#00022850]

Ok Ok Ok I like those, Squarepusher and Les a must, but I
kinda wish that I see more Aphex Twin stuff remixed by
people like UM............ Armand Van Helden, DJ Hell, Or DJ
Spooky.............

=|R3FL3X|= from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-08-17 23:34 [#00022852]

Novosellic is the man! Hes what got me into playing guitar
based music a LONG LONG LOOOOOOONGGG time ago. Before that I
Was playing stupid.. well not stupid, but lame key board

Dj spooky would be interesting too.

Glass from Jesu on 2001-08-17 23:37 [#00022853]

Aphex Twin = Phil Western
Skinny Puppy = Velvet Acid Christ
Juno Reactor = The Orb
Claire Voyant = David Bowie

Garry Shandling from Sherman Oaks on 2001-08-17 23:47 [#00022856]

Page & Plant performing with a traditional Moroccan Muslim
band.

inuok from 5 on 2001-08-18 01:11 [#00022896]

Aphex vs Britney

tommo from Western Australia on 2001-08-18 19:42 [#00023002]

I'd quite like a Beck / Bjork crossover. I think their
vocals would complement each other nicely.

Or a Beck / AFX crossover that isn't just a remix (ie. not
Richard's Hairpiece). Something original b/w them would be
nice.

Rob.E. from London on 2001-08-18 23:19 [#00023020]

RDJ + Liam Howlett? Would b interesting.

2 by 4 from sawmill on 2001-08-19 01:14 [#00023054]

Aphex Twin and Thom Yorke

could make quite a nice cynical pisstake single not too
dissimilar from Windowlicker

just juice from rotor+ on 2001-08-19 01:16 [#00023055]

Wouldn't it be nice to pool RDJ's creative juices with the
talented Pop sensation Hear'Say ... fuck .. if they did
another ITV series with them two be fucken funny .. they'd
be going like - what the fuck ? Mind you - that sort of
stuff is likely just to be vs not &

Aron? from Canada on 2001-08-19 01:28 [#00023057]

Aron Zacharias vs Tom Jenkinson vs Richard James vs
Autechre

heh, heh, heh, i wish

LFX from kumquat on 2001-08-19 12:13 [#00023112]

LFO and AFX

Hemi kacidal from nz on 2001-08-19 12:16 [#00023113]

Florian Hecker and Richard D James

I think this would be quite nice.. I attended a concert at
the start of this year that featured hecker .. and was very
very impressed. had a considerable chunk of drill n bass in
there .. mind you the dutch porn sample as an 'intermission'
really did top off his set. Fucken brilliant

Candy perfume boy on 2001-08-19 16:13 [#00023130]

Pj Harvey - Beck
Nick Cave - Basement Jaxx
Marilyn Manson - Madonna
Björk - Courtney Love
Mirwais - Blur

walt from europe on 2001-08-19 17:54 [#00023140]

i really would like to see beetles performed by beck or
bjork with philip glass on the piano... it\'s just such a
great song, even it is very short (quite similar to the rdj
album, it\'s also short but a stroke of a genius)...

Colla on 2001-08-20 12:57 [#00023363]

Britney Spears sing "mr milkman"!

Shanks O\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ on 2001-08-20 23:28 [#00023510]

Geonime and Reflex.

LtAirComStarscream from NEWYORK on 2001-08-21 00:24 [#00023526]

dillinger escape plan and afx. it would be live insanity vs
fabricated insanity. im sure the song would blow everyone
away if they made one together.

m....M..Mw )wW(m M m)Ww( wM..M....m on 2001-08-21 00:30 [#00023527]

The coca cola company and the pepsi cola company should make
a song together. The sound would be all crazy and reflect
their rivalry over the superior cola product. Then the
uncola would battle whoever wins (needing a prewounded
battlecontestant, because obviously the uncola would be no
match otherwise.) Or Jesus and Satan.

liz from no where really on 2001-08-21 02:03 [#00023544]

It is funny how tv will make some peoples minds go all funny

Organ Grinder/Rujdq Julqghu from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-21 02:09 [#00023548]

AFX and Thom Yorke would be quite brilliant!

Or Ovuca and Blue Man Group.

Come to think of it, i'd like to see a Bogdan / Ovuca
collaboration.

And yes, the Les Claypool and Tom J is a must.

Candy perfume boy on 2001-08-21 19:12 [#00023711]

...Radiohead to cover Madonna's "Paradise (Not For Me)".
