What a fucking amazing band, seriously every album is
brilliant.
In Every Dream Home A Heartache is one of the best tracks
ever.
Avalon is full of nice dark drum-machine-fuelled tracks and
improvs.

Hoping the reunion will be just as good as the "good old
days".

ROXY MUSIC ARE THE BEST BAND EVER and Bryan Ferry is my ALL
TIME HERO EVEN MORE... than Bowie. And Avalon is the
greatest album ever made.

LAZY_Ferry_and_Kenny_Everett (two legends for the price of one)

LAZY_Ferry with the now Madame Sarkozy

It's time to stop procrastinating and take a bite out of
this band; I'm guessing Avalon and For Your Pleasure would
be good starting choices. If I like them even half as much
as I do 'Warm Jets I'll be very happy. They're even
better?! unbelievable

avalon is one of the bestest tracks out there

I always thought that was a killer whale on the cover of
Avalon. Just goes to show you..

You're not confusing "Avalon" with "Gentle Persausion
presents: Soothing Sounds of the Ocean"?

Nah, just always seeing the album from a distance and small
jpegs. It's a very beautiful idea though.

Definitely check For Your Pleasure... but I expect Avalon
may sound too commercial for most people here. The more
experimental sides to Manifesto are brilliant.

My recommendation for a first Roxy purchase is Stranded.
It's got "Mother of Pearl", "Amazona", and the sublime
"Sunset". Even Eno has stated this is his favorite Roxy
album.

I'm not as keen on Ferry's solo stuff, but I still think
Taxi is an excellent piece of work.

You're right, he wasn't on Stranded. Which is a cool thing
to admit, instead of saying only the first two records were
worthwhile because he participated in them.

the best of the three latter day Roxy albums yes. Flesh +
Blood has some good stuff too. I can hear where Duran Duran
stole some of their magic.
