asides from obviously being on the same ep, do the 3 "versions" of "come to daddy" have anything to do with each other? by their names you'd think they're remixes but to my ears they're totally unrelated. i think the mummy mix has the words "come to daddy" spoken at one point but the little lord faulteroy mix does not.

I've interpreted the 3 'versions' to be his own perceptions of his family and himself. His father being reflected with "pappy mix", himself as "little lord faulteroy", and his mother with "mummy mix"... but who knows?

Wasn't your old avatar a clip from an Ashanti video? "Foolish", I believe?
How many times can they use that damn Isley Bros. beat?
I have also wondered this about the Come To Daddy EP. The tracks don't really have any similarites.

It had a light-skinned black guy in the foreground and something blury, what looked like another person, in the background. I dunno. I'm looking stupid here.

expect to see him a LOT more in the future. even though he's a producer and label exec he thinks he's a star, and as long as his artists are popular he's going to be treated as such by the media.

theres a sound near the end of the pappy mix (something like an accordian is the best comparison i can make) that is used for the intro of the little lord fauntleroy mix. dunno about anything else.

Judging from Lornaderek, the Pappy Mix seems a bit harsh for AFX' old man

Well, unless you know the man and his family personally, I don't think any of us can really truly know that for certain. As I said, that was just my interpretation. For all I know, maybe he was just on an acid trip and out came those 3 songs. ;p

Well, Windowlicker pinches the same organ i do believe, and if you listen to "Father", it has the same brash, abrasive sound... I pointed out long ago that it may refect his feelings on his dad, but backed-up with Conformist's explaination, it seems quite certain that he may dislike his dad or percieve him to be of a harsh nature.

I'm going to have to say you are right on this one. I never actually thought of that. It makes sense though, as the Mummy Mix has his mother talking at the begining. Hmmmm...*rubs chin*

i don't know why everybody thinks it is a child who says the words "stop making that big face" in the beginning of IZ-US. It's clearly a woman's in her 20ies saying that. probly his girlfriend i would bet.
