nope, didnt get that! thanks though! my idea is to like, rap, but not braggadocio as you say. itll be word play, but the lyrics will be more poetry and kind of abstract. alittle like MAssive Attack... but maybe even more out there... just dont know where to start... |

my advice is to just keep listening to the lyricists that inspire you and study them. that way you can get a feel for how to do it, and by studying multiple writers you won't be ripping off one specific style. this is a useful site for lyrics: www.ohhla.com also, for hip-hop... just write, even when you don't think you have anything to say. stuff will come up. i think of rhymes all the time.. don't limit yourself to when you're TRYING to get something out :) |
