This is hardly surprising. These scum should be locked up
for life and ALL music festivals banned

I hate it when they do such things.
I wonder why ...
I'm going to festivals for four years now, and I see it
happen every time(=trashfight on the campsite, ...)
,exept for this year, cos of the bad weather and all the
mud.

Why?
Why?
Why?

So he was just sat on his picnic rug quietly sipping tea and
nibbling scones?

nah I think he ran away because of the stench given off from
the overflowing burning chemical toilets

fuck I hate those things

can I just say that I was there and all this is total
bullshit

There were a few hundred people causing trouble, but there
were like 80,000 if not more people there.

All I saw were toilets on fire and there were a few people
running around. The fires before the Foo Fighters had been
there all night and were not that big, just old burnt beer
cups.

Leeds was nowhere near as bad as Reading 2000 and nobody
said a thing about that !!

I had a great time and Aphex Twin KICKED FUKING ASS !!

I like the way you can see EVERYTHING that has been done in
there before you. Mike Patton's wet dream aye?!

From NME:

"Andy Teacher told NME.COM:'There were 40ft flames - it was
twice as high as the trees on site. It was like the oil
fields burning in Kuwait.' "

Typical bullshit from the NME

These youth must be stopped. I say we need to bring back
national service, borstels and hanging.

Fucking festivals need to be banned. Everywhere. Young
people should not have an idea that having fun as a part of
inebriated/ headfukked uncontrolable mass is a good thing.

Ooooh hanging....that'd be good! I can see you Jonesy being
that guy from 'The Life of Brian', selling the pebbles and
bags of grit!

pogo is right. there was a minority of rioters. where i was
(in the red campsite) all the toliet blocks were burnt, but
the flames (though very large) were contained by the fence.
also people threw bins of the bridge and broke a few
lighting poles and stuff.

if you didnt want to get mixed up in it you could quite
easily not do.

and aphex fucking rocked.

Tits - he played with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Their EP
was released on Monday (hardcore slsk users on this board
have had it for months mind). It was unannounced but widely
known.

I think it's the best thing he's done in over seven years,
if you haven't heard it....

oh and like I said before, this shit will continue year
after year. You get 80,000 people together, SOMEONE is gonna
think setting the bogs alight is a good idea.

there..I figured out who the culprits were..

off their face chemical engineering students, doing
spontaneous and random field tests of theory learnt in
class...

"One toilet block was burnt to the ground completely with
others set alight. Skips were also set alight and power
cables pulled down. "

the explosive potential and capabilities of methane
anyone???

offline flea from depths of your mind (New Zealand) on 2002-09-04 10:12 [#00377882]

and there is a precendece to these rampaging chemical
engineering students, annual methane worship
rituals..here...

The violence echoes last year's events when toilet blocks
were burnt and police attacked, which put this year's
festival in serious jeopardy
