i asked this in another topic already but didn't get an
answer.

i heard a great remix of kenji kawaii's ghost in the shell.
I was told it was by aphex twin and it was so great that it
really sould have been :)

does anyone know anything about this?

it's a fake, not really done by rdj, but a decent track

well, the "ghost in the shell"-track which is said to be
aphex twin is certainly a hoax. i didn't have any info on
the original artist, so it's cool you said it here...

btw. a really really cool remix of the "ghost in the
shell"-theme is by Makai! it's called "beneath the mask"

well if nodoby knows then i'll assume that no, it's not by
aphex twin.

great movie and the original score is one hell of a
masterpiece.

Kenji Kawai's OST for GITS is really nice though. Probably
one of my favorite soundtracks.

why do so many of these hoax-remixes exist?

i mean, what's the point in making them if someone finds out
sooner or later.

probably boredom, I think it really became popular back in
the Napster age, people would rename a track which sounded
similiar to an artist who didn't create it throw it out
there, see how far it could go

I know that a Detroit Techno Artist did the music for the
PSOne Ghost in the Shell game....

I'm pretty sure it was Derrick May.
