What will be your reaction when Richard himself dies?

dunno.
I don't think it's good to think about such things.

probably a feeling of sadness + a nostalgic feeling to the
good ol'days.

When well known people die ,wheter I like em or not, it
always makes me feel old,..

Like a wake up call that ,yes we all die

A little depressed... death isn't a nice thing. But even
worse, no new Aphex material, EVER! Mainly I'd miss the
music, I don't know the guy.

Same as Ophecks

I wouldn't get really pissed off, just disappointed.

'But even worse, no new Aphex material, EVER!'

We probably has some contract somewhere saying he will
release everything when he dies!

I don't know how I will feel (ofcourse sad and upset), but
who knows until it actually happens...

i'll be sad and listen to his tracks for a week as a ritual
and to annoy my roommates who don't really like his music.

then i'll think of all the unmade stuff he could have done.

I'm thinkin' along the same lines as Ophecks.

But, if he did die, and there wasn't going to be any new
material about Richard, would the Aphex Twin section of
xltronic be deleted? That would be my main concern.

Seems a bit harsh B3n. You don't have to be a "god" to be
missed do you? Anyway this topic is a bit morbid to say the
least.

well whats my reaction expected to be? I only say he's not a
god because that's the way people seem to view him

he makes good music, why should we view him as anything else
or be any more upset when he dies? it just seems
irrelelevent

offline diemax from somewhere in tennessee :( (United States) on 2002-08-26 19:58 [#00366014]

what if he fakes his death and starts working for the pop
music industry?
THAT would make me feel dissapointed...
if he died i don't think i'd care... not that i wouldn't
miss his music, but it seemed to be going down hill anyways
(example: drukqs) of course if his next cd is better i might
be more dissapointed
and if i knew him i might feel some sort of emotional
loss...

i'd start a comitee to dig all the material that he has
suposedly done and not released.

then i would buy the copyright and release the tracks

if he dies, maybe they will release all of his unpublished
stuff (which there is apparently alot of)

but im hope he doesnt die, so he has time to make MORE
unreleased stuff, and then die old with 100000000000
unreleased songs of greatness for us to hear

I think Richard should fake his death, release all his
songs, then start becomming a producer for POP music. That
way, with Richard having an influence on the music that
idiots hear 20 times a day, the stupid will slowly become
smart.

offline uzim on 2002-08-27 00:58 [#00366464]

...or maybe he would be influenced by the pop music
he'd produce...

would probably be interesting anyway. ^^

who's to say he doesn't already? he said he's done lots of
commercials and has released music under names people don't
know about..
