I just think......but This track goes beyond thinking. So everyone that doesn't understand or acknowledges it, has to think harder. Not about this track, but about what music is or what the word music means to say.

Also playable from this location.
Joyrex: No worry, since the mp3 is converted from the actual rm-file. Same quality - doesn't matter whether it's mp3 or real media.

The quality of an aphex-track doesn't matter, only the real listener listents to any track as if it was bare.

NO, it does matter - having it as RM controls the distribution of the track, and it was a SureStream, so someone with a high-bandwidth connection could get a decent sounding MP3 from it. I did, and WARP did a RealAudio file for that very reason - they would have done an MP3 if they didn't mind it being distributed all over the net.

Alrighty, well, i'm not at home at the moment, but when i do i'll send the mp3 to those who want it...like Phobia said, it is the same quality as the *.rm file, BUT...what Joyrex is saying about the restrictions sounds correct as well, so i'll wait till we have official confirmation as to whether its ok to post to this site or not, k? Just to be safe :)
btw, i can spice the mp3 up to sound very nice if everything has the go ahead

this new track is much ado about nothing, an endless (nearly, it feels) series of elaborations with little genuine content. i think....

What bugs me about these new songs (the "Two Remixes" and Cymru) is how they lack the *personality* that RDJ's tracks always have. No matter what their "style," no matter how simple or complex, Aphex songs always sound like real, living, breathing, one-of-a-kind things... like great "songs" do, in any genre. These new ones, while real clever, just sound like "tracks." They don't seem to have that extra Aphex "essence," whatever it is. And they do sound a little self-cannibalizing, like he's retreading old ground...
Nuts, the last thing I want is for RDJ to be "losing his touch," or whatever... but it happens to the best of them, and he's sure the best. As much as I'm looking forward to the album, I'm apprehensive; and these tidbits have only made me more so.

Echase SF, I think you might be eating your words come album time.
Sorry, but I'm personally not a big fan of AB 3 and I think they lack 'personality' compared to a lot of other Aphex stuff ( with about 3 exceptions), same with AB 4 nothing special , im sorry.
As a matter of fact even though 54 CB might be one of the lesser so-called tunes off DRUQKS I think it still has more 'personality' then all of AB 4 and abput 70% off Ab 3 ( I really dont see why AB 3 is regarded so highly, I think AB 5 kicks AB 3's ass alone).
Dont judge too quick, theres 29(!) other tunes still waiting for you, and ofcourse theyre not gonna come out swinging with the best of tunes as a sample, theyre gonna save the best for last.
Always better in any facet of life, in this case its the album.

It's fairly weak. Definately not as good as windowlicker or come to daddy. This sounds like he used shareware. (For example there were a lot of sounds that were repeated exactly the same again and again, like the same wav file was played each time- previously he tediously hacked up stuff to make every strike of sound different.) This IS only 1 of a whole bunch of tracks though. Squarepusher, autechre and aphex all peaked out then fell down (well obviously I'm predicting the aphex part anyway). Luckily I'm not worried at all because I've been refreshed from great equally great artists that are great like the great proem, crunch and while. Check them all out on forcedexposure.com. They are great. Start with Crunch's "1". Just buy that one album, I'm telling you. You have to take a chance though because I don't think you can hear it before you buy it. I doubt the new aphex will be better than that, at least from what I heard. It also beats autechre's latest release in my book so far.

I just heard it...and quite enjoyed it..he is reusing a lot of signature samples gives it a nice continuum with the rest of his work...and it does get better with every listen...but is it me or is it really becoming a real struggle telling aphex and squarepusher tunes apart...if it wasn't for those signature samples i mentioned... I don't know could have been a squarepusher song

I just heard it for the first time and it's not that great, I mean, cool off beat but I never really get into it, I agree with echase, it lacks the unique aphex sound. Honestly if I downloaded it on Napster I probably would have thought it was a fake.
There is one point where I fucking love it, and that's between:
-1:20 and 1:40 in the song- and I'm like wow this is gonna be great, and then it dies down again. I would have loved the whole track to have more of that kind of stuff in it.
I'm not totally dissapointed, in fact, I'm only more excited to get the album. I have a feeling that me and Rich would not agree on what his best/our favorite tracks are. And it also wouldn't surprise me that even if he thought a track was his best, it wouldn't be the one he releases.
Anyhow...I'm quite hyped. Viva el Druqks!
