i just started getting interested in their music, i've been
reading some reviews, listening to samples, etc. and was
wondering if anyone here likes/listens to this band?

yeah, that's probably my favorite song off of warp 10 +
3...it's so lush and soothing! i've heard some of their 'mi
media naranja' album and it's really cool...i definitely
need to pick it up!

hello. labradford are very chilled out very postrock very
atmospheric. have a look for "mi media naranja", or the
latest (?) one "fixed::content" as these are both excellent
releases. Oh and go buy EVERYTHING by godspeed you black
emperor!

mi media naranja is beautiful, especially the first & last
tracks. the last track was also used as background music on
the chris morris album.

I've only heard 'P' on Blue Jam, and a couple of other
clips, but I'm really really interested. I'll be buying
something soon for sure.

the car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel
and the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely
suicides
and a dark wind blows

the government is corrupt
and we're on so many drugs
with the radio on and the curtains drawn

we're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine
and the machine is bleeding to death

the sun has fallen down
and the billboards are all leering
and the flags are all dead at the top of their poles

it went like this:

the buildings tumbled in on themselves
mothers clutching babies picked through the rubble
and pulled out their hair

the skyline was beautiful on fire
all twisted metal stretching upwards
everything washed in a thin orange haze

i said: "kiss me, you're beautiful -
these are truly the last days"

you grabbed my hand and we fell into it
like a daydream or a fever

we woke up one morning and fell a little further down -
for sure it's the valley of death

i open up my wallet...
...and it's full of
blood

Not much more to add here ... their first album has one of
the more clever uses of a vocoder that I've heard.

"Mi Media Naranja" has maybe the best ending of any album,
full stop. Make sure to stay awake long enough to hear it.

There are no weak albums in their catalog, they are all
worth a listen.
