I recently bought wipeout 2097 for the pc,.. and hired out wipeout 64 on my (you guessed it) nintendo 64,...
the 64 version has all the tracks in a type of "mod" format,.. and therefore are not rippable (easily),... known songs featured "absurd" and "goodnight lover" by fluke and "bang on" by propellorheads,.. the rest was done by an artist known as "pc music"?
the pc version of 2097 doesn't have any of the tracks on the wipeout Xl soundtrack (said by people here to be the same as W2097) Instead it features a completely original score by "cold storage"? does anyone know anything about this mystery artist? I think it's probably a budget way to re-release the game without paying for license fees again,... but i could be wrong.
I'm going to buy the pc version of "wipeout" (the first one),.. I hope the soundtrack isn't changed from the original,.. this is getting very confusing
also a question......
the wipeout Xl soundtrack goes for almost 80 minutes,... how could they fit the game itself onto the cartridge if the songs take up all the space,... could somebody please get their PSX copy of W2097 and see how long/many tracks are on the cd?
thanx
